You guys are going to make spend money on a car that sits in the garage..lol
 
Love what you've done. Just please upgrade that stock suspension to utilize those brakes other wise your wasting so much braking power to unwanted suspension movement.

Also I am lowered. What other suspension upgrades would you suggest? Bilstein coilovers?

Heim jointed control arms coilovers are always good.

Very Good info buddy

People always thought it was a bad idea I ran F-bodys fronts with GXP rears. 12" front and back but it worked great.

You fab'd up that bracket for the rear brakes?
 
Kinda dumb question but i just want to make sure...i plan to either go the F-body route or the CTS-V route (when funds allow it of course) and i want to know with 12" rotors, can the stock spare still be ran or no?

with ctsv calipers.... no way in hell
 


Lecram I know what you mean... although stopping over stock has greatly improved.. I have noticed that something is kinda missing.. when I stop suddenly the car seems to nose dive BC of the stopping power in the front. Lol and abs does seem to kick in sooner when raining

got the front's mounted, now I need to get the front brake hoses in the correct length since the actual V lines will not work.
On a second note the rear calipers are not a direct fit so I will have to make billet adapter brackets to get it to work but the front caliper will bolt up no modifications needed besides the machine work on the rotor bore and bolt holes. more to come later this week
 


I wana do this to round out my suspension upgrades but can't bring myself to bolt on more rotational mass apprx 3 lb per axle
 
With the differance in the rear caliper to steering knuckle, I just sent off the complete knuckle w/hub, hub bearing, rotor, and the loaded caliper to the machine shop to get an adapter bracket made for both sides, going to get them made out of billet aluminum. Should have them back in about a week before our next race, now just have to get the custom front brake lines made and start rolling with the new setup. With 18 pages...I don't feel like looking back through them to see, but what has everyone been usinf for brake fluid? I'll be using Motul 600 dot4 fluid, same fluid we use in the race cars brakes
 
So where do the cts v caliper bolts come from? I've just been looking at prices n comparing to see what it'd run..n gmpartsdirect has 4 for like 30 shipped but then autozone has these ones for 8-9 bucks Duralast/Brake Caliper Bolt/Guide Pin (H15912) | 2006 Cadillac CTS-V 8 Cylinders U 6.0L SFI | AutoZone.com
..or am I missing something? Also the banjo bolts I couldn't come across. N last would be the 14 mm bushings..any help would be great. I've been researching for hours today n would just wanna make sure I'd know what to get.
