The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes

Well another factor I did not consider is the thickness. Their bearing could stick out further from the knuckle in turn moving the rotor further out.
 


first thing is you need is the rotor and then the spacing in or out then inboard or outboard is needed. all my mock-up was done with a stock factory rotor, so any other rotor used will throw off all your measurements if it's not the stock factory CTS-V rotor
 
I don't understand why you don't help everyone here with it? Lol it doesn't matter to me because I wouldn't be doing it on my grand prix. But I'm sure others are looking to do this. If drunk withheld the information of the ctsv even bolting up in the first place, who knows if anyone would have tried it here. I just thought everyone was here for helping one another..
 
Again like I said, idk if squash performance was an individual guy or a shop, they sold it without issue. You're in the same boat. I'd sell them for 110 shipped or w.e you want just like those guys did. I don't think they did any liability sheet or anything. Or I'd just type up a sheet saying you're not responsible and the buyer knows this type thing. That's modding a car, there's risk everywhere for it. Buyer should be aware before everything and idk how you'd get held responsible if it were to fail. Correct me if I'm wrong though

I have no clue if Squash performace was a shop or individual. If they where a shop I'd be supprised if they didn't cary insurance of some sort one way or the other, since I'm just an idividual doing this on my own, I can't and don't have the time or money to try out every combo with stock factory and all aftermarket rotors since that is how I come up with the measurements for mine. Seeing what people try on this forum by using everthing from ebay rotors to off shore Chinese made ones, and everything in between. If I sold the brackets and said this fits only stock factory components and someone tried another brand and something didn't work out I would feel very guilty about any harm that would come to them or others involved, now include the liability factor and I'm simply not set up for that financialy.
To your other post before this one about just helping everyone out. I had countless hours of R&D involved, machine shop costs, measuring rim size, back spacing and so forth. I would sell the pdf files when I get around to it, but won't just give it out, sorry if I sound like a dick but it's not as easy as you think, otherwise others would have done it sooner than me. Now mind you I started off with the six piston Brembos off the second gen not the four piston first gen so I still had lots to do using all factory parts, not mixing and matching Ford GT500 rotors.
 


I even got the brembo decals for them. :th_thumb-up:

Thanks guys. I'm assuming the 6 pistons will clear them as well? I'm still not sure if I want to go 4 or 6 piston yet because I would have to fab up a rear bracket and parking brake (96 Riviera, steep driveway).
