The Go Kart from hell

2700?

i should scale this car just for grins.

Yup for my 01 SE with everything in it and a FULL tank of gas. I wanted to know how heavy it was as I normally drove it.

According to Edmunds the 92 models curb weight was only 2264lbs, much smaller and lighter.

Same specs for my 01 show curb at 1083kg or 2387.61lbs. But as I said, with me in it and other junk, truck scale showed 2640lbs. So still light, but the body was much bigger on the 99+ body style.

well this one lacks all sounds deadning, no pasenger seat. all the interior panels are in the garbage. im a whopping 150lbs hmm ill have to make a call and get on the scales

playing the waiting game on parts. more then likely the 1.8 is going in as its a direct swap then turbo down the line. i want to get the chassis sorted out first. its weird to have a car that handles this well.

92? A lot less. NC's were still under that with the folding hard top.

i feel like it should be close to 2-2200 with me in it
Sounds much more reasonable.

You guys must have not read the post directly above yours... 2264 curb weight. Add 150 for driver so about 2400lbs (+/-)

Flip up headlights? I'd definitely wire it so mine only come out half way and it looks tired and lazy. That way the car would look exactly how I feel.

My buddies 240 would wink if he double tapped the headlights on, they'd flash and raise up and one would drop and the passenger side would flash again and then drop. It was always his thing to do to people.

Top less is just how I like it ;)

Yeah I'd get a miata most likely. You can get replacements so the lights aren't flip up if you don't like em :D

That is hilarious! Personally, I wouldn't go that far. But I've always found the novelty of a flip up headlight damn appealing. I'd definitely get in there and just open and close them all the time.

Lights go up, lights go down, lights go up, lights go down

not sure how i feel on sleepy eyes. the miatas have electric motors so theres not tapping the switch. there are kits to interupt the signal so i can achieve that look though. cheap ish (65$)
