The Go Kart from hell

Good. Those were way to stretched IMO if you want to toy with the car at all. If you just want the stanced look, and plan to drop the car down low and not play with the car or go to the track at all, then those would have worked. I understand the function with the stanced look.

but if you plan to drive it the way it should be driven, 245s and track ready is much more enjoyable.

yea i had a momentary relapse, all is well though with the new tires coming in.

im debating on buying strut tower braces or fabbing up my own. Flyin miata sells some nice pieces though.

Flyin Miata is legit, but you have to pay to play the game their way. I wouldn't worry with one tho. When I had mine I was all set to buy one straight away and hit the boards to see what was the best one to get and got flamed pretty hard. The way it was put to me was that the way the suspension is setup its not really that useful of a piece, more just bling for the motor. Several even said putting the bar on hurt their times at the auto-x because it hurt the cornering. I would have figured differently but the little unibody isn't setup like most other cars either so :th_shrugshoulders:

You may do a little research and see if you can find some specific info about why it does or doesn't help and if it won't help you may put money towards other mods that will before buying the bar.

yea im just saving for the engine swap because im guessing once i get the new wheels and tires on the car is going to feel very underpowered again with the extra grip. once i get the body work done i will have accomplished all my goals for this season.

Speaking on "flamed"

The turbo miata site and flyin miata will eat your ass apart if you ask dumb questions lol. I've read alot on there and tons of hate is brought upon many noobs haha.

ive noticed and they even tear apart noobs with semi legitimate questions.

so i just sit back and read, undecided with going with a kit for the turbo set up or DIY with a manifold/ downpipe kit and provide the standalone, fueling and intercooling.

I just think the "kits" are too much money for what you get.

I've seen a few thread where people spend money for a few good parts like a turbo, injectors and manifold, then make the downpipe, route their own intercooler piping and buy all the lines and hardware for cheaper. Then buy the standalone and other bits.

I've kinda made that plan up in my head for the day I get a miata, kinda just start buying the parts one by one and building it myself.

^ The kits are nice if you are in a rush and have the money to waste.

But it can be done for alot less and a little elbow grease. Plus CUSTOM is soooooo much cooler.

the FM kit would be close to 3500 with the options i want, just straight up parts i can get for 2000 plus my time for fab work and such. so DIY route is more then likely the one im going with. picking a proper turbo for my power goal is the part im having trouble with.
