A neighbor of my buddys wants to trade his 96 impala clone for my gtp

Now the car is a pretty good clone job body interior including floor shifter but the engine has around 150000 on it

I actually thought bout it for a minute but he said it was only a straight trade if i finished the engine build with the tep trans and build ill have 5k into it so i would be losing money

But it got me thinking Time for a new project car once the engines in the gtp Im done modding it maybe i january ill pick up a 94-96 caprice and start a new toy
 


Oh i know I have too much invested in my gtp now if hed take it the way it is and i didnt put the money into the engine maybe
It just got me thinking bout my next project
 
I just love the body style More then likely ill get one Im kinda set on cars i want plus ive had a few lt1 cars and I never had any issues only one opti spark failure

I like the look completely stock
i would probably have a 12"cvr like i have in my gtp Not enough to really be loud.
Much like the gtp I have liked the impala since i first saw it
I had a 93 caprice that was cloned

Whats wrong with liking a certain type of car I am partial to big sedans and v8's
I love my crown vic too no spotlights no flash no bling just like it for what it is

first off, that was rude.

second, i love the impala SS as well. a clone isnt that cool, but so long as it looks nice then who gives a ****. you cant find ANY impala SS for under 10k because they are such nice cars. with a sweet blower setup on that puppy and a nice exhaust it would HAUL ASS and ride better than everything else on the street. it also fits 20s on it very easily. yes, i said 20s. sue me.
 
Yea I took that comment as rude too but its all good
As far as the clone thing goes I know its not as nice to have but a clone done the right way can be pretty clean and bought at a steal of a price
 
sorry, i didnt mean for it to be rude. the point of my comment was to deter you from doing all of those things. it seems like any big body chevy from that era has big rims and big bass, and that's it. i love the SS when it's done right and it seems like you would agree. sorry for being sarcastic

ive seen ls1 swaps but havent seen an ls2 swap into one yet Im sure its been done just havent looked
 
This kid i know has a nasty, nasty 96 impala ss . Big block crate motor, cam, gears, rear, coolest car Ive ever seen.

I know lsx are a major improvement ove the lt1 but I have had a few lt1 powerd cars and the only problem i had was one optispark failure that was my fault for triing to see if the car could swim

Thats definatly a clean ride I already passed on the trade But now im waiting till january to pick one up

I actually helped him sell it last night he got 4500 not bad for a clone with high miles

ls2 may be a bit more coin..i'm taking lq9 from a HD or caddy suv..you can get one for maybe 3000 g's complete with trans to back it..

But a 572/620 horse with 6 speed would be tha shizzzzz..
