SS M90 Question...

Why would you order an Intense top swap tune? Just order a ZZP SS M-90 tune I know most guys on this forum do'nt like ZZP's tune but in this case just go with it ,I have rane an SS M-90 kit for 2 YRS and the original tune the car started and ran right up ,since then I have done many changes heads , cam ,2 belt setup and have tried other tunes that ran like **** ended p sending the PCM back to ZZP for upgrades and she runs fine .

I haven't heard the best things about ZZP's tune, and I've heard Intense does a good job with theirs. The other reason I didn't order it was because it is a locked PCM. The Intense one is unlocked, so when I add future mods, I can get it dyno tuned further. Just my decision I guess.

ZZP's tunes are unlocked. The only one's that lock their tunes is Overkill. I wouldn't hesitate to use a zzp tune especially when you have the ability to scan. If you go from forum to forum, the basic idea is that every vendor's tune sucks. The general consensus is that the best route is to get a local tuner experienced with GM 3800's.

Overkill's apparently aren't locked anymore.

Oh, I heard ZZP's were locked. Hmmm, must have misread that somewhere. I should have just gotten ZZP's then. Oh welllll.

I agree that a dyno tune is the way to go but to get you up and running since the kit is designed by ZZP used their pcm to get you up and running ,Intense's top swap tune is not going to work with your setup .

They are tuning it for the SS M90, not for a top-swap. They know I'm not using 2 belts. They also know it is for my L36 throttle body and MAP sensor as well. I have told them everything I have.

ya i was thinking that because ur doing a ssm90 u are using a gt map sensor and not a gtp one a top swap tune uses a gtp map sensor
