sqeaking/squealing in engine bay

so im home for 5 days and during these 5 days i was planning on gettin this noise fixed, getting an oil change, and installing my new downpipe...BUT my GP decided it wasnt going to start for me to drive it back home...i go to skool in pittsburgh but i was going to drive 90 miles to warren, ohio for these 5 days...so i had to have the car towed there (only $200..sweet) and now it sits waiting to be diagnosed tomorrow. i have a list of wut i believe to be the case but i will let everyone know wuts up with the car this week...i just wanna drive it!

just checked in with the garage so far not the fuel system they r thinkin MAF sensor but not definite yet

I was gonna list MAF to, but sounds like you got direction already. That is an easy one to check. Unplug it and see if it changes states...

UPDATE... i finally found time to take care of this problem...my water pump was bad so i replaced it and something still squeaks...my idler pulley was chipped so i replaced that and something still squeaks... i was able to put a new alternator in and something still squeaks but i got to return the new alt and put the old one back on...everyting else on the belt, including the belt itself, is perfect...i am stumped!

A/C bearing?

idk i had a mechanic check every pulley on the belt train and he said everything was good... he even has a stethescope out

so my mechanic told me to put the stock intake back on to see if that stops the noise bc he, like most mechanics, dosnt like aftermarkets parts...so i did and i let it idle for 30 min and it doesnt make the noise..it makes the noise when the engine warms up and the engine is up to temp but no noise w the stock intake...y would the intake affect the noise? could this hurt my engine?

so talked to the mechanic today, he said now he thinks it has nothing to do w the intake...when he removed the oil cap the noise goes away and he can feel the engine suckin from where the cap was like it cant get any air, its like somethin is blockin the engine from gettin air...sooo instead of blindy tearin down the engine, i was wonderin if n e one had n ideas as to wuts goin on?

The stock intake acts as a silencer so you don't hear the IAC valve when the cars cold so it'd mask this sound just as well as it does that.

so after all the frustration my mechanic came to the conclusion that i had clogged vaccume tubes and a gubjed up intake...he tore apart the upper n lower intake and cleaned the lower intake n put it back together w all new hardware and gaskets and a new upper manifold now it runs perfectly... i guess a metal lower intake w a plastic upper doesnt mix too well ha glad thats over tho
