No doubt. Too each their own how to build a car. Props on the alum heads IMO I'd love to see it on E85 and turbo considering the money going into it. Ive got a GTP coupe that will be basically torn down to "body in white" to rebuild I dont care if it takes 3 years to finish. Hope he hits over 400 whp and hope he's got a trans to hold together too which Im sure he does/will.

why wait till you blow the bottom end or transmission to upgrade?

I want something that won't break under pressure something that can take the abuse.. this is a good 60k block and its going to be solid. Also i have a fully built transmission to go right along with it.

current status

paid the deposit on the paint job
dropped the headers off to get ceramic coated


Engine is still at the Machine Shop
Car is stilll at the paintshop
This build is over budget.
SWTOR is one hell of a game.

GXP Brakes have been re-powdercoated and rebuilt going to pick them up tommorrow

and the exhaust just got done getting coated.

also had to order a new Harmonic Balancer

fun build ? YES. spending retarded money on **** that isnt needed ? YES. sooo when its all said and done you have a 12 sec family car.....is it really worth it?? come on man take it easy..put that combat money towards your future,youve worked too hard to put it towards a a GTP. i can say this since im ALSO gtp owner AND Iraq Veteran myself. buy a couch, a stove, a washer/dryer. call me a hater al you want, jus ttrying to make you understand that ive been there, after a deployment you make impulse buys since you feel youve missed out on the past year and feel you deserve whateve you want/need. idk man..theres like 3 of us on this site that understand. just trying to help..do as you please

AWWWW YEAAAHHHH! All out build, with a great budget, going with the Speed-Daddy headers! XD. Looks great though. I will prolly get mine done too.

Ive had speed daddy, i just didnt coat them and my engine bay was hot as **** and the 304 Stainless steel faded to a brownish color.

NOW they look ****ing awesome and are going to stay looking similar to that for awhile. and keep my engine bay cooler.

they look awesome in person...

everytime ive seen ceramic coated headers they have been black or a dull gray color.. this is awesome shiney chrome looking stuff!

Just wait till they get some heat through them. The Chevelle's headers aren't so shiny now.

shout have had them Hot Jet Coated and now had to worry about them changing color

He has used headers to display what they look like after 20k not as bright but not too bad.
