Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (7-17-2012) PG 46 Build Complete Needs a Tune now.
Ryan.. wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to buy a newer car?

I really really really really reallyyyyyy want to see your car it look absolutely amazing i love the polished blower and chromed parts your car is sick and if i had the money i would something simmilar with my car but i dont lol.
Joey..
I have one sitting on the shelf and an LQ4 maf as well. Don't have the adapters or couplers though. N* was used off a caddy, can be cleaned up pretty easy.
Tuner just needs to change it in the pcm during the tuning.
What would the tuner need to do in order to change the Gear Ratio in the PCM?
What gear ratio do you have now? If you say 3.29's, you should look up the how to.
Mad vacuum would mean that the pcv is working. By drawing a vacuum on the intake. What isn't working in the fresh air going into the crankcase. IIRC that's the front passengerside, where that little groove was supposed to be enough. Put a breather on before getting tuned and let your tuner account for the breather. It's unmetered fresh air...that's a breather. You won't want to implode any seals.
I looked for the 3.29 programming here (thought I had it here too) check Bpro. I know it's there for sure.
Well..if you have that kind of crank case vacuum either your pcv is missing/bad or you have an air intake issue on the other side. Either way..that vacuum isn't really good for the engine.
Make sure the pcv has an o-ring on it
