spark plugs

Hey, no need to take any statement back, I started to have my doubts too...obviously thats why I tried it. Telling you that was not the problem was not meant to be offensive but nessesary when problem solving. I tried searching the forum for disconnecting the egr and found nothing. If you have a chance can you explain or maybe post a link? Thanks again.

Oh it's cool,

The problem with the EGR was a lot of people were having PT Knock. And all of their problems went away when they disconnected the EGR compleatly. You can do this by taking the EGR off and cutting the two mounting flanges off of the metal tubing. Then you take a nickel and a penny and put the penny on the header side and the nickel on the LIM side and rebolt the mounting flanges over the penny and nickel..

If that does not wor it would seem like it would be an issue in the PCM or false knock.

Let me know if I need to explain any more.

Ok, I will give it a shot, will this screw with emissions? Nice 6 cent fix. lol

has this been resolved yet?

EGR delete did not help. I have no reason to believe it is false knock. I truly think it is in the tune. That said, Im pulling out the overkill mail order tune and having a guy tune it. I will let you know what happens but it wont be for awhile as I have a bunch of things to install on the car first.

well good luck with it............that sure is a lot of knock. Hard to believe it would be that far off unless there was a major mistake made. I have heard of weirder things though....

Thanks. I dont know anything about tuning but one thing I do know is that my trims are way off so I hope to get that sorted out.
