Hey, no need to take any statement back, I started to have my doubts too...obviously thats why I tried it. Telling you that was not the problem was not meant to be offensive but nessesary when problem solving. I tried searching the forum for disconnecting the egr and found nothing. If you have a chance can you explain or maybe post a link? Thanks again.

The problem with the EGR was a lot of people were having PT Knock. And all of their problems went away when they disconnected the EGR compleatly. You can do this by taking the EGR off and cutting the two mounting flanges off of the metal tubing. Then you take a nickel and a penny and put the penny on the header side and the nickel on the LIM side and rebolt the mounting flanges over the penny and nickel..
If that does not wor it would seem like it would be an issue in the PCM or false knock.
