id only lube the stem, if that even. you want the bottom dry so its a good seal and holds it tight. if you got them plastic caps they slide on pretty easy.
 
I used the socket i put oil on it and it took me 10 minutes of applying a lot of pressure to get it on and i dont even think its on all the way i dont understand why this is so hard

So now i got the seals on and i went to put my new l76 springs on and it doesnt look like there wide enough to go over the valve guide...

Also im ordering all my parts and was gonna get new plugs should i go with the autolite 103s or 104s?

Ok so half my valve springs dont fit, the ones that do ate a very tight fit but its like other valve guides are slightly bigger not that they look bigger but i took one spring that wouldnt fit on 2 guides then put it on another and it fit perfectly sooo this sucks.

Lol yah i already checked that haha. So the question is can i try to bend the bottom of the spring out just a hair so it will fit or take a grinder ore something and shave a little of the inside of the spring seat?

Do you have stock springs, or bigger springs?
