• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Scored some free Cobra's ...

I guess it really depends on what the intentions are for the Mustang. If it's headed for the junk heap, then no issues. If it's a nice ride, etc that has potential or good resale value I don't think you should get rid of them.

I'm pretty sure a nice-ass Mustang won't hold as much value with torque stars. :th_laugh-lol2:

But I see your side, you've helped out a bunch etc so it was a gift as payment. You should be able to do what you see fit.

Either or, good luck.

Its a purple V6, that the exhaust has rotted off, it's firing on 3 cyl and no title.... haha

what are you rocking that looks so special?

and btw do white saleens that would be sweet or gunmetal would be even more orgasmic.....if i could have it anyway tho...."black chrome" :th_thumbsup-wink:

I thought about doing that myself, just mixing black with clear and giving them a few good coats, but I don't know if i'd do black....

I have 235-55-17s on my bullits.. but they're not 9" wide though. They fill up the gap perfectly.

Thats why I just want them to be a size taller then they are now, because it would look goofy with wide rims and baloons for tires. Your tires fit your wheel gap perfectly tho...

you guys do realize 235 is the width not height.....

235 is width and the 2nd number is a percentage of the first that determines the height last number is rim size so if wanted more room you would go 235 and the 2nd number the next size smaller....you dont want a taller tire for sure like stated above i had 255 45 17's on mine and it rubbed like prostitute on X. im pretty sure 235's are even gonna scrub when you lower.

Yes, I think we know the 235 is the width, but the size I mentioned is about 1/2" larger diameter than the stock 225/60R16 of 26.6" dia. The 245/45R17 that was stock on the mustangs is smaller in diameter. The one I mentioned seemed to be a nice compromise and wasn't grossly over sized.

I did get new tires finally, Nexxen n3000 or something like that, 245/45/17 $440 for everything including 2 new studs and 5 new lug nuts because they used the wrong socket and stripped them with an impact wrench...

Hopefully someone isn't you, because you shouldn't use an impact on wheels. Unless you just hit each nut lightly to set it, your wheel can get mounted kinda uneven. You need to evenly tighten each nut. I hate how a lot of mechanics use impacts on wheels. I have seen wheels come off because they were never torqued properly and I am talking about stock wheels. Sorry, I just had a vent a bit lol.

my impacts suck so much i just use my torque wrench. problem solved. It still doesnt take much time at all. 2-3 cranks on it after its been seated and you're there.

245/45R17 is smaller OD than the OEM size on your car.

I'd guess that when your speedometer says 60, you're really doing about 55-57

Yea tire shops have messed up a bunch of cars of mine in the past most of the bigbox tire shops here have torque logs for each car some even have torque wrenches that record the torque and log it

Theres been a few deaths and law suits due to that issue

If I had all the equipment big shops do, I'd do all the work myself. But I don't have the space, or money to buy all the equipment. At least most shops will replace whatever they break for free.

ITS TOO BIG...

just playin, its fine. good work. and no, im not funding your car, i just said i'd make the wheels fit (rolling/pulling your fenders).
