Here is what I use with speeds when using a tool such as the PC7424XP or the HF DA.

Compound - Speed 5
Polish - Speed 5
Wax - Speed 3-4

You may not have had enough pad rotation. Play around with the pad speed at 5 for compounding and polishing. 5-6 passes with ultimate polish is more than sufficient. It has a long work time. Ultimate compound about 4-5 passes.

Just preachin fundamentals from my chair, I've never not used a rotary polisher. The Guz is out there evaluating a variety of new stuff regularly whereas I'm the guy who has to get a job done with whatever is provided. Either requires an understanding of the basics.

Tomorrow I'll be finishing up then I get to drive down the dirt road to ruin it all lol. Gotta clean the wheels up, polish my tips and I'll be all set, only if there was a car show going haha, who wants to see a junky prix at one anyway

I think it's the color of them. Against the retros they just don't match. Kinda like a incandescent next to an LED type of clash. Might just be me though.

They are yellow halogens from fleabay thats probably why it stands out more

That's what everyone says after detailing a car like that, at least if that's not something they often do. I'm trying hard to preserve my back as an auto tech lol

Hey Russo less masking tape roll in the glam shots lol. Car looks good man. At least you've wiped away the bone stock look somewhat. You show pride in your vehicle and continue battling dirt and thats good. Dirt roaded mine yesterday and it sure builds up quick, the dust.

Picked up some STBs and brackets. The purple is coming off and white is going on. I need one of the studs for the STB as one is snapped off. So if anyone has one laying around....
