I just used Ultimate compound on the orange pad,i tried Ultimate polish on the white pad and got swirls so I need to figure out what I was doing wrong. Then for wax i used the black wax that came with my turtlewax black box kit.
Thats exactly what was happening to me, so it seems a softer pad would not help but hinder, interesting.
Speed 4, same speed I was using on the orange padWhat speed were using with the polishing pad?
It did come out real good.
Knowing how much pressure to apply comes with experience. I'm curious now what these extremely soft paint systems are that were mentioned on Guz's link. Might just mean cheap. Do you know if your car has any refinished areas or is it all stock paint?
Red, yep using a rotary and with sanding included. I would think its tough to generate enough heat with a DA to make most polishes work, but IDK.
