The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Haha heres a plot twist its back again and it was all of a sudden, i checked my vac lines to make sure it wasn't unplugged or ripped anywhere and it wasnt, i dont know what else to look at... im stumped lol
theres got to be something around where you last touched then, wires or something causing it, play with the wires see if it will stop again, if it does its bad wires somewhere.
open all the plugs inspect them the wires going into the plugs for cracks.( if you see a small crack in a wires insulation thats a problem or missing insulation)
I put an actual fenderwell intake in now. Love the supercharger sound. But thats the last thing i actually touched. Was the intake, and it was fine until i got to my girl friends house and as i was leaving i floored it to get onto the highway and it started doing it. It hasnt done it since i got home and left to get coffee and back. I still think i wanna change my wires, any suggestions?
maybe your ait sensor pig tail is f ed up, or its dirty its a cheap sensor to change, and its the last thing you touched really then.
so its off and back on. more sporadic now? or just acted up once?
i just used the factory plug wire holders on the engine when i got it. cheap parts store wires are fine to use. copper plugs, id stay in the stock heat range.
Ok, and ill change it because i changed the tube that is linked to the throttle body took it from a junk yard maybe that sensor is bad. And it happens less than before but does it once when at Wot getting ready to shift at 6k rpms
my maf and ait wires were both screwed up 3 inches from the main harness, thats how far back i had to strip the wires till i got to clean copper. so look for them cracks good.
those wires bake in the heat of the exhaust cross over for how many years now? they dont last forever, mine only made it 14 years lol
I don't know if this is relevant but my supercharger is leaking oil at the snout but its not behind the pulley or the bolt, its at the breather rock at the very beginning of the pulley.
Went and looked again, theres a puddle. I have a very bad feeling that my supercharger needs a new seal. And yes its making the rattling or shovel dragging across rocks at idle but goes away as it goes up in rpms
The leak is at the breather theres the pulley bolt and then. The breather it leaks from the breather only. Replaced my spar wires and inspected them no breaks or places to arc it fixed all my problems other than the breather and im forsure this time bevause it doesnt hard shift anymore when flooring it and it pulls harder to. I think 30 bucks was a good deal
It's relatively easy to rebuild a Gen 3 with all the bearings, except the rotor plate bearings. Those are not in my normal realm of "possible", based on having to mess with rotor timing etc etc.
Rollingperformance.com had the parts, fast shipping and last I knew a very good write up.
it would be cheaper to just find another blower whole. gen 3 are cheap. and easier in the end if you dont have the tools need to rebuild it. you need a press, and some other tools.
Theres that supercharger at my junk yard which i got the heads and such from only 95k miles on it only needs the coupler, i heard it run and drive before it was junked.
I think ill replace the coupler first and see if it.doesnt fix it, but you hear it where the rotors are so idk if ill need another supercharger or not.
