Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Borlas & G8 GXP tips on!

Video worked, did you try the DDM ballasts with the factory wiring?
did you sand to bare metal for the grounds?
Really if you spend for TRS you know for certain parts aren't the problem. Hope you get this straightened out.
Whatever happened with the O2 sensor deal?

All full of questions(or something) aren't I.

Ive tried a lot..havent sanded anything. I got frustrated n just stopped lol. I have the original ballast that works good and that worked with factoelry wiring but not the relay..then I do ddm ballast with factory wire and it blows the headlight fuse under the hood. What do I have to wire the relay ground to??..battery ground or bare metal bolt ground on car? It flashes on with the relay but wont stay on. Ill mess with it another day when I have the patience. N I still havent messed with the o2 issue. Ive had a cart with zzp for a supercharger belt, new 02 extension, and zzp puller for a week now. But havent ordered. I bought stuff to shrinkwrap it n redo it but havent had the time to or bothered. I need to know what 02 to get to buy a new one. I think this one..but need to know for sure.

the dog ones were a bia..had to cut them up quite a bit n get em out from the corners with a screwdriver. The round ones came out smooth. Razor blade one side of the lip off n pop em out.

Lmao for real..well the ones I had were halves though..you put one half in with the center piece then put the other half on. You might have had the older ones..?

Yup I had the 3 piece ones as well. I tried putting one side in then the metal rod then the other side and used a mallet to tried to get them all the way in and well wasn't working :(

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Borlas & G8 GXP tips on!

I had the ones from intense..I think the materials a bit softer and harder to use the mallet to get them in. Even went as far as using a bench vice to try to get them in and ended up pretty much tearing them up. Guess ill get ZZP next time around.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Borlas & G8 GXP tips on!

Prior to take I used Lithium grease :(

Let me ask you before I bother spending money on them...notice any weird noises or clunks from them and how much of a improvement from the rubber ones?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Borlas & G8 GXP tips on!

Yeah these are intense..they seemed a little soft I guess but ive never felt xompared to the zzp. I also had to shave a little off the circle part the sticks out on the left one because they didnt go down n line up with the holes. Nothing big or anything..and idk if I can even tell a difference..I usually dont notice them small things lol. I got them both for 50 bucks new from them n just grabbed em. Ill pay closer attentionn see if I notice vibration or anything when I drive next time n let ya know

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged Borlas & G8 GXP tips on!

So I talked to will from overkill n he said hes confident he sent out my pcm n ive never received tracking nor received it and its been over 3 weeks now..he sent another one out yesterday n itll be here tomorrow. Seeing as I had no luck with a pulley puller, I just gave in n ordered one from zzp as well as a new belt for the smaller pulley n some 104s. Hoping to get it all by Saturday so I can take care of it all by this weekend! What is the proper gap for the plugs if anyone knows? When I got my 605s I put them in without messing with the gap and had random misfires so im trying to take care of it all so I dont have to do it twice. So if anyone needs a pulley puller anytime soon in metro detroit area lemme know
