It is very hard. And I understand he has to put in the hours. I hate the schedule. Idk how people with families do it. He does a 2,2,3 rotation of 12 hr days, 2 weeks of days and then 2 weeks of nights. So most of the time, our date nights get pushed to the not so important pile.
It frickin sucks.

Yeah my wife and I work pretty close to the same schedule if we werent it would be really hard and I would prob be a really grumpy basterd...basically I understand him wanting to be the yes man but sometimes you have to think about your wife or gf

Which just goes to show...this is one aspect of American culture I don't like. The value in success is just wayyyy too high. Can't we just aspire to be happy people with just enough?

Its hard to live on "just enough." Last year I put in over 400 hours of OT. This year I am already at 97 hours of OT per today's paycheck, and I put in 6.5 hours of OT this week and I left at half day today. You do what you have to do in life. Earlier you were complaing about living in the hood and how it takes money to get out. This right here is your answer. Work, and work hard.

Lol. Sure I hear what you are saying, it's just a fantasy of mine to live in a place where all it takes is happiness. Reality vs. not.
But still, I think there comes a point where you need to separate work and focus on your happiness. The oldest people alive today are not type A personalities, and they don't worry. I aim to be that person. But it will never happen, I'm too anal retentive on most things.
But no, my point was not to say not work. In reality you work for what you need and want, I'm just lightly speaking of the kind of person I would aspire to be and the way of life I would prefer. Don't take it too seriously.

Problem with women is they can't always see the future advantages of future sacrifices.

One of my exes couldn't understand that sometimes I had to make other plans that didn't involve her. She couldn't handle it and I dumped her ass because of it. There were other reasons, but that had a lot to do with it.

Went bowling with some friends from high school, had a nice time. Get to Zaxby's, pay $6 for my meal, then one of my friends (whose parents own a chain of Wing restaurants) says "hey we could have got free wings." :th_doh: AFTER my meal??

I also seen Titanic in 3-D tonight and it was just as fantastic as it ever was. I hope the rest of the weekend and Easter break continue in this pattern.

OMG, THANK YOU. 3D is the biggest gimmick and I wish it would die already.

What is the point of doing Titanic in 3D? I'll give you a hint, its about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and thats it. People are suckers and fall for it though.

same thing with star wars, they just keep re boxing it and making a new box set. its also out in 3D now.
