Re: Post Whoring Thread 3.0 - Bill loves zee Germans, forget you W-Body guys
So, I have been doing a cycling class at the YMCA since mid January. I recently joined a C25K running club that we are in week 2 of training. I also decided to start doing the 30 day challenges for planks, squats, back and abs. (which are no joke, by the way). I'm whooped.
Sunday=Running
Monday=Running
Tuesday=Cycling
Wednesday=Running
Thursday=Cycling
Friday - cross training of some sort/whatever I decide to do
Saturday= rest day (which I have been taking full advantage of)
Last week since I started running, my shins have been giving me fits. Last Monday I was in tears after, they hurt so bad. But, with some proper insoles, and full compression socks/sleeves....I can tell each time I run that the pain gets better.
If anyone has had shin splints...have you rubbed them down with a roller of some sort? One of the coaches was using a foam roller on my shins that first day after I was in so much pain...I thought I was going to hurl. Then the pain got so bad, I was dizzy feeling. Now I've figured out that if I use the roller before and after running and stretch really good, it helps a lot.
Operation "Sweating for the Wedding" is in full swing :th_thumbsup-wink:
Oh...and work has been so busy lately...most day's are running together anymore. Is it Monday or Thursday? Hell...I never know.
