Some guy on craigslist had a wood bench that usually costs $160-200, new for $40, so I grabbed it. Now I want to build an upper shelf for it and add some lighting.

Don't forget the pegboard!

I have two sides to my garage, the car side stuff and the house/wood working side.

Since my wifes car is so small, I am going to get a stool for the wood working side, setup a soldering station, vise, wire wheel/buffer and probably a few other things. An air compressor and welder will fill in the corner the rest of the way. Its taking time, but it will get there. I plan to probably paint the garage and do the rubber tiles on the floor before long too, since my concrete has seen better days.

Well this sucks. I got laid off today.

I can't say it wasn't unexpected, as the gas/oil industry is in total turmoil right now, but it still sucks. I really liked my boss and worked with friends.

In the end all I can hope for is this will open up other opportunities the better me for the future.

Ugh. Got more news of the day. Apparently my brother was laid off today too.

I'm more worried about him than I am myself. He has a family to support, I just have myself. We'll both figure out a way to manage though.

Ironically this is the 2nd time something like this has happened. Several years ago my brother was let go from his job on one Friday, and the following Friday I was let go from mine. We lived together at that time though, but it was fun because we would sit around and play PS2 all day. Now if I want to play Playstation I'll have to go to his house. LOL

Yeah, the economy is a little better than it was back when it happened before. There have been other companies coming to our area lately too. Its just all about finding the right opportunity.

I got a new phone. Got the galaxy s6 and I love it! Going on 2 weeks and no complaints. The step counter and heart rate are awesome too. Huge step up from my old s3, for sure.

I just got a GS6 on Wednesday. Still figuring a few things out that are different from the old phone, but all in all much better than my Motorola Droid Razr as it was starting to get a little buggy at times.

a friend just picked one of them up too. it gets cell reception where his last phone did not. we got the same carrier, i get no bars in areas where hes got a few and the damn phone will make the call. and mine wont.
