Picked up some clear tubing, brake fluid, jack stands and 36mm socket for tomorrow too start putting all these damn parts on. Of course orileys didnt have a 36mm in rental so i had too buy one.

Thought it was a Ford V8 at first glance. Cringe, no thanx on that mess. I guess at least your performance fades extra slowly as valve timing deteriorates.

Tired after doing exhaust manifolds on a 2000 f150. One broken stud on the drivers side, 2 broken and 2 stripped on the passenger side. Fords...
Did a gearbox on a chevy pickup with 242k. Knocked that job out in like an hour and a half if that. Easy.
I saw a Chevy pickup with 326k miles a few weeks ago.

So this happened today:

Got off the Highway was looping around to my neighborhood, approaching the round about, one car and semi in front of me. Semi stops and I see this white Subaru go flying over the center median curb, come back across it, pass the front of the semi, other some curbs, in between two road signs and slams about 20-25mph into the building. I immediately pull over into the buildings parking lot, get out of the car, owner of the building comes flying out the front door and looks at me "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" I point to the Subaru.

I run up to the car, I say "Are you okay? Can you turn the car off?" Guy looks at me really dazed, eyes roll back in his head and he just passes out. I hopped in and turn the car off and say call 911. No one moves, fine I'll do it, I call 911 and get the cops on the road. Mean while, the guy wakes up and says "Hey guys, how to I get to *some town* in Saratoga?" Heavily slurred. I turn to the building owner, "Is he drunk?" I turn to him and say "Sir, you've been in an accident are you okay?" He responds "Oh really that is shame, let me see how bad." He got out and walked for a bit and hopped back in. "I'm going to just move this and get it out of the way." He starts the car up, slaps it in reverse and it lurches (after I took the pictures), I look wide eyed at everyone else...okay no one is moving. I hop in the car and turn it off and slam it in park and pull the key. Cops show up and hand it to them.

Guy gets out of the car and the cops start talking to him, things like "I was confused by the round about...I took a bunch of Hydrocodone earlier...No I don't have a perscription." Cuffs got slapped on the guy pretty quick after that.

So pissed my dash cam is off right now...I'm waiting to hardwire it into the car..****

Wow, theres no shortage of these folks, is there? Way to step in and be the guy. It could have been even worse.

Surprised it wasn't a Camaro, haha. That's pretty nuts though, it's nice he only hit a building though.

Dang... This is what happens when you shut your dash cam off man! Also surprised and glad nobody else was hit. Man he must have really been out of it, how did he even navigate out of the parking lot?

Lol I know something will happen if I forget to put my card back in, with my luck. I keep an 8 gig card I got for free in the center counsel.

I barely pulled on it and came apart lol, also it had 0 grease as it was all around where the axle was.

Might have the T/a sold, guy had emailed, texted and called me wanting too see it. He came and looked at it, looked over it with a fine tooth comb with his buddy. He kept complimenting how clean it was. He said hes gotta check how much a loan and insurance would be and he'll get back too me then we can get insurance on it and setup a test drive. Guy was 21 and I'm pretty sure was really excited. He asked if the car was fast and I told him its pretty quick. And how manh people have called on it. So fingers crossed. We never talked price but he must think 8500 is a fair price or he would have asked.

I pretty much gave my Z28 away, but I had turned down several kids looking at it, under the age of 25 is a kid to me.


One guy calls and asks how fast it was, and I tell them that it ran mid 11's and is fully streetable, he then replies, oh my cousin has a trans am with some nitrous and I want to beat him, I have never owned one of these before and I just sold my Honda. I hung up on him, I did not want to hear about my car getting wrapped around a pole. I hope this guy takes car of the car if he buys it off of you, it is sad to see how cheap these cars have gotten, I remember test driving them when they were brand new and thinking about how I would settle for a couple year old LT1 till I could buy an LS1.

I sold mine to the most responsible person who offered me an obscene amount of money. LOL
