Yeah, kinda, except I did install it all alone, lol

Alright audio guys. Questions. So I moved my battery to my trunk awhile ago. But I'm redoing all the wiring now and adding inline fuses. Should I just put 1 inline fuse on the ground from battery to chassis or one line fuse on positive near battery and one under hood on the other end of the wiring.
Basically how and where should I install my fuses.

Here's my thinking. So positive wire runs to starter. With engine running there would be electricity flowing both ways. So would I need two fuses. One near starter end and one in trunk with battery.

Dafuq did I just read? Cars run on DC. DC only allows current in one direction.
I'm sorry I just can't stop laughing.

Lol. I'll try to explain better. If my positive wire running to starter gets a short and fuse pops wouldn't it continue to short out from starter side of the system. Being battery would be safe from fuse popping but current would still be flowing from alternator.

A short wouldn't cause a fuse to pop, it would cause you to loose power along where the short is. An open would pop a fuse though. That is why the alt goes into the fuse box.

So one fuse just on positive at battery I should be fine. I just don't want to have an electrical issue later on.

Being if it shorts out between fuse and starter it would still pop the fuse but have current from alt

Okay let us back the truck up here, you are putting a fuse in your positive line between your battery and starter correct? If so then yes the rest of the system should be just fine as everything else is fed off the fuse box which as I stated is after the alternator.
