This coming Thursday I'm building a sealed box for my W3, that way I can get some of my trunk space back. My car is somewhat of a family mobile so I don't listen to is all that loud anyways, so I'd rather have the better sound of sealed box.

I also tore my Orion amp apart over the weekend and upgraded the ground\positive cables to 4 AWG, so that should help with power as well...

I had to wrap the ground in electrical tape since all I had was red wire. I had to keep the blue wire as positive, because I have a blue wire from the battery back for this amp...didn't want to confuse things.
 
New sub box, 1.125 cubic ft sealed, with the Orion on the back, Infinity on the top, and the crossover on the side. Orion is grounded to the floor (see pic...yes that is STB hardware), Infinity and crossover are grounded to the strut tower (not in pics). Sounds fantastic, and the lights don't dim as bad, but they still noticeably dim. Next step is a 200A upgrade kit for my CS144, then go from there:

Oh and more sound deadening Dynamat knock off, 63 square feet of it now, haha.
 


You can get a big AD244 on with a $20 bracket, see previous pics, and there are a few small companies that have the same deadener as Dynomat, like CT sounds, GP inc. has STFU mat, DD4life, etc.
 
I've put in Peal n Seal in, it's the cheapest I've seen. I clean the sh*t out of the metal, and then clean it numerous times with rubbing alcohol. I have a CS144 which is the same thing as an AD244 when it comes to output, at least. There are other differences, but stock for stock they put out the same amount from what I've read. I've talked to alternatorparts.com and they have a little kit to upgrade a CS144 to 200A, so I'm eventually going to go that route. I have a 1.9 inch pulley on it, which helped a lot, but it still dims a bit under full bass at idle.

Sound deadener seems a little high, it's $5 per square foot, Peal N Seal comes out to $1.28. For name brand stuff that's pretty cheap, Dynamat is PRICEY lol. I'll have to look into their amps and such.
 




I recommend toolmaker for any electrical connection. test results are out there. I like to use murdermat but then again I think there out of business at his point. I won a lot of there matting in a giveaway and still have about 90sqft left of 90 mil with 70-80 already in the car. My converter cracking actually helped me gain the effort to rip everything out and put the 3rd run of sky high in. oh boy
