The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Ok so i pulled the valve cover and one of the rockers had came loose. So i tightened it up and started the car now i have a po300 code. The rockers seemed to be moving fine. Is it possible i over tightened them a little? My icm tested fine.
I got two new coils cause when we switched one the miss went away. I had my icm tested it was fine. I'm gonna check the injectors again. Could it be my zzp tune? But the car ran fine until the rocker came loose. Would not having my 0w plugged in cause this? I wouldn't think so but I'm out of ideas.
I'll check it tomorrow. I hope it was just the rocker since it was off so much that it turned sideways. But if my compression is good why would I know have a po302 and po300 when at first I only had po306. Also idk if I said this but when I did the first compression test all I had was po306 after I put plugs and spark plugs back in to try and start it to check codes that's when I got the random misfire.
Well I looked at my injectors and one of them was missing that little plastic ring on the bottom I wish I would of got a pic to show what I mean. But could that missing cause a random misfire?
Ok so i think i may have found the problem. I started the car and waited for the light to come on saying it was missing and then one by one i pulled the injector connectors and when i pulled cylinder 2 and 3 the idle of the car did not change but one i pulled the rest it did. So what do you guys think? Also i havent got the chance to do a compression test because i havent been able to go by the part store yet.
Alright im going to try to tomorrow. But when i did compression test the first time I got Cyl 3 163 and now thats the one thats missing instead of Cyl 6 like before.
Alright i found my compression results i did last week. Cyl 1=170 Cyl2=170 Cyl 3=163 Cyl5 163. I know i don't have cylinder 6 but i haven't got to do another test yet since i fixed the rocker that came off. But i dont have a cylinder 6 misfire so i assume its fine. But today i checked the plugs again pulling one by one and listening for a change in idle and all of them change but 2 and 3, there was hardly any arching or jumping of spark from the two. When i pulled 6 the car just died completely. The coil packs for cyl 2 and 3 are new just got them Saturday i think it was. Also the spark plugs smell like fuel and the tips are black while the others are white brown. I also had my icm tested the same day i bought the coil packs and they said it was fine. And i dont know how they test them but he hooked it up to a machine and tapped on it for like 10mins. Im goning to try and do another compression test today but i had so much crap going on with my trucks alternator going out i havent had time to stop at the part store.
