• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Now with less white and more function.

Re: Now with moar a** pics.

^ This.

So I also took the driver door lower molding off (it was almost split in half, vertically) and it's being repaired. Should have it back on the car tomorrow. Gonna tackle the spoiler, and possibly the trunk tomorrow, depends how the weather is.

Re: Now with moar a** pics.

which spoiler did you get again? daytona?

you dont see those on white cars very often. im eager to see what it will be like on yours so i can see if i want one or not. i have my mind set on SLP Gen 1 right now

Re: Now with moar a** pics.

Gen 1, get it. Best looking spoiler for these cars. By far.

Question: what did you have to cut out from the bumper openings to fit the G8 tips? I also received these same tips for Christmas and wondered how you got them to fit so Well.

Re: Now with moar a** pics.

It's a 40th Annv spoiler.

I personally don't like the gap between the spoiler and the tail lights on the Gen 1, and the SD spoiler.

I cut the inner section (part that says PONTIAC) out about 1-1.5 inches on each side, and left the outsides alone. Took 2 Dremel cutoff wheels, and 1 sanding bit.

Re: Now with moar a** pics.

Finally got this today.

It was ordered on 11/29/13 and finally got here 1/2/14

Was pretty happy that the core is presealed. Be a decent project coming up. Planning on doing a full write-up.

Re: Now with moar things to install.

I wonder how long your transmission will last, lol. Looking forward to the install though!

Re: Now with moar things to install.

With how much I've been driving it lately, about 20 years.

I'm really not hard on the car, but I have been saving for a trans, for when that day comes.

Re: Now with moar things to install.

Woohoo perfect. I ordered one 12/2 and didn't get any shipping info yet lol. But I did wait till the last day and gen v was out of stock and I said I'd wait if I could get it for 225 off. And I will definitely need a write up! Lol

Re: Now with moar things to install.

Should start the tear-down, fix stuff, rebuild and stuffs next week. Went and got a couple things I needed for the install.

Was really happy to score a proper sized Gatorback belt for my pulley for $6.79 shipped. Yay.

One thing I will mention is that even though all the FMHE fittings, Bosch pump, and hoses are 3/4", the IC core fittings are 5/8"

Re: Now with more gonna blow something up!

Every time I think "hey, I could sell those and pay for new mods, I remember how sexy they are, and just can't bear to see them go.

The cam is a Comp Cams 76-802-9.

More lift than the XP, similar duration.

How do you think I felt. :(

Re: Now with moar things to install.

Lol. If that is still the plan. I still have tinted headlights ;)

Oh I did acquire something. Coupe seatbelt holders.

Re: Now with moar things to install.

Got started on the intercooler install. Pulled the blower off, pulled the LIM and valve covers. Everything is getting repainted. The clearcoat yellowed really badly on the SC housing, so time for another color.

Got the LIM all opened up and stuff. Currently removing the H bar on the Gen V, filling the silencer ports, and epoxying the EGR hole/divot.

Also messing around with coil pack relocation, hose routing, and clearances.

Phone doesn't quite capture the difference in color between the case/snout/TB.

Made me giggle with excitement. Got it on to see how much clearance I had between the IC core barbs and the Alt bracket. Should be just enough to work.

For size reference.

5/8 hose fits well enough without trimming the bracket. Though I may still.

EGR bolt decided to be a *****.

Once 1/3 of the threads were drilled out, it unscrewed like it wanted actually wanted to be removed.

Opened up the coolant passages

^not sure what happened with the last pic. I think the phone is becoming self aware and doing **** on it's own.

Should be lots more pics tomorrow.
