need advice on modded fuel rails

I just bought an intercooler from gmr, so im trying to figure out the fuel rail situation. I wanted to know if anyone has tried modifying them their selves by that i mean take it to a welding shop and tell them what to do.

There is a local weld shop that can do just about anything you ask of them and they are very resonable, im sure they are fully capable of brazeing them but i need to have an idea of how they are built. Does anyone know

of a build thread where someone did this, or better pictures than zzp page

You could also try injector spacers I guess...or REALLY beg GMR for his Aeromotive fuel rails...or buy them new for like $250...they're really nice rails and add a little extra flair under the hood.

he never mentioned them to me, i pretty much just blew all my money on this thing so im trying to go cheap with the rails, i figured i could pick some up at the junk yard and mod them prior to install. Anyone know what kind of fittings i should use

16.1mm spacers should work just fine. Injectors stay in the heads and run the spacers between the fuel rails and the injectors. Spray pattern would remain unaffected and you can make rail mounting point spacers out of 3/8" steel fuel line cut and filed to length.

Cut the lines that cross over the SC, have a shop weld/braze male AN fittings, and make your own custom length lines to go over?

Or to make it cleaner, have them chop all but the horizontal rails, then connect them like the fuel logs are, all with welded/brazed AN fittings.
