Bump....

Just bought a 90 600F CBR. Wondering if you ever did end up doing the rear plate. Slimming it down and what not...

honestly, no. not yet. i have plans to strip it down and do a bunch of body work this winter as well as do some other stuff. (head gasket is leaking and want to do a headlight retrofit)

i know for sure that you can trim the rear plate holder piece to fit more 'snug' around where the plate shows so that it doesnt look as massive, i just haven't done it because i plan on cutting more than that away when i get to it.

i know, but i was looking at the exhaust today and i really dont have a lot of room to add anything under the bike. i thought i had more room but i dont. ill have to figure out a short slip on can that i can shove on after i cut down the pipe or something.

otherwise, do those 'silencer' things that you shove in the exhaust do anything?

also, i ran out of good oil so i just dumped a bunch of leftover **** oil that i had sitting around. it's a mix of 5w-30, 10w-30, and 10w-40 advance auto brand...lol
 
The best way I think if you want to run a shorty and not lose your hearing is to just run a cat under there. Something to muffle the sound. But if you don't have room you don't have room :(
