my homemade CAI, opinions??

Hahaha. I know this is a little late but I love reading some of these posts. Honestly, some people shouldn't even mess around with things on your car when you don't know what you're doing. For starters yes you do want a maf screen. You may not NEED for the car to run, but if you think of it logically Pontiac doesn't just design something on the engine for good looks cuz they have the money to put on something useless. It's there for a reason, which is what sabrewings said. And another thing, why would you just leave your pcm to just flop around? I mean seriously whats the point of ghetto rigging something? If you're gonna make a cai do it right. Otherwise just buy one. Also to be honest that white pvc pipe looks horrible. If you go to menards they have ABS piping that is black, it looks way better and it's actually heat resistant too. I'm not trying to knock everyone, but seriously people should try researching things a little before just rushing into it and doing something wrong. Just a tip.

LMAO...nice first post.... Although I agree that things shouldnt be done half A$$ed, try establishing a little credibility before coming on here and bashing people in your first post.

I did do it. And it looks a lot better then a white tube sticking straight out my tb. haha. Honestly whether its my first post or not I could care less. Thats not the point. I hadn't even planned on posting anything on here at all. But I had to when I see all these amazing ideas. But what do I know. Atleast I actually know what I'm talking about. And everything I said was true. And I wasn't even bashing anyone. I thought everything I said was a valid point. Sorry everyones so touchy. Take out your tampons. Hahhaa. jk. That was funny though. You just laughed.

LOL @ you thinking PVC pipe from Menards is heat resistant. It is plastic dude...if you want heat resistant your going to have to coat it or wrap it in something to make it TRULY heat resistant. Plus, your tampon joke wasn't funny actually. That was funny about a year ago. Also...on your comment from Pontiac putting things there from the factory...so the downpipe and U-Bend are perfect examples. Why do YOU get rid of them? If they were such a good design from the factory why mess with them huh? Exactly.

Umm. Ok. What are you talking about kid? First of all I said ABS pipe. Not PVC pipe. Which is just a better alternative to pvc pipe and ABS pipe is heat resistant genius. Look it up, you'll learn something. And I'm sorry the tampon joke made you even more sensitive than you already are. Get over it. And for your last genius comment about pontiac putting something on the car from the factory. What are you even talking about. That had nothing to do with the fact that I was saying you want to keep your maf screen in. I was just saying that they are mass producing cars so do you think they wouldn't try to skim every penny they could, so why would they put in a maf screen that isn't doing something beneficial to the operation of the engine. AND LASTLY, ya im sure switching that 2ft or so of the downpipe to a larger diameter downpipe is going to add 50 horse to your car. Ya if you have the money and want to do it thats fine I don't care. But why would pontiac do that or even care. That had nothing to do with what I was saying. So next time don't waist your time posting some bs about my post when you don't know what you're talking about. And go take out your tampon. Haha. WAHHHHH!!! Wambulance.

No, I totally agree with you. I only posted something about that because that other kid wanted to argue and it had nothing to do with what I posted. Haha......

You should read your avatar...maybe it'll work for you? Oh...and you should visit Menards again for the deluxe pressure washer...you gotta get a LOT of sand out of that vaginal tract

Hey guys, this is more exciting: Just tossed a can into the garbage and it hit the side, rolled to the end, bounced off the wall, came most of the way back then fell in.

but for realz, open cone.

Yeah, found that out the hard way. On my L67 setup I ran a 3" filter right behind the driverside foglight and thought nothing of it. Decided one day to try a short ram and definately a noticeable difference. So.. While installing the L32 I picked up some 4" exhaust pipe, cut it to size and voila, decent looking and not in the least bit restrictive

Wow ninny your engine is clean. I love that color combo. I'm a black n red fan. That looks like a took a bit of time to do though. Haha. Intake looks clean too.
