M62 Swap...

Nope. The TVS is awesome. My peev was really only with the M62.

The charts were to show the difference in efficiency of the m90 vs the TVS using the same airflow, the current airflow I'm running right now on my GenV.

The TVS runs from 73% to 67% through the usable power band my car has (4100-6300rpm)
The M90 goes from 57% to 45ish% in the same pull.

This is a BIG step up in efficiency. Not to mention less drag and more headroom.

I was going to say this pages ago but kept getting side tracked trying to figure out what you were doing. Now that we all know its a TVS SC how about this.

WAYYYY too many people get wrapped around HP #s what are the goals of this car? You already said you made what like 300 WHP? Numbesr dont mean crap when you could use the money else where and go faster with the power level your at now!

Shave weight FREE
Change gears CHEAPER than SC MOD
Better Tune CHEAPER than SC MOD
Better Tires CHEAPER than SC MOD
Add Meth CHEAPER than SC MOD
GO E85 CHEAPER than SC MOD

Hell a guy could almost do tires tune gears and E85 for the price of 1200-1500 dollars

I tune my own car
Built Trans is coming
It's my DD so I'm not taking out more weight
My tires are fine
Meth is a bandaid
No E85 in CT

Snowflake what pulley are you on right now with the Gen5 people never talk about pulley size vs. timming Id like to see what could be done with moving up or down in pulley size and adjusting the timming. I still say the goal of 350 whp can be reached pretty easily with your Gen5 instead of doing all this messing around with changing SC.

I wont hit anywhere near 350whp on my GenV non intercooled on 93 pump.
I'm running a 3.2 pulley at 16 degrees of timing right now. This setup yielded the best single pull dyno of 301whp, then couldn't make within 15whp when it was hot. The car runs more consistently on a 3.3 pulley and more timing, but made less peak hp on its cold run.

The TVS should do 350whp without an intercooler on 93 pump.

Also that M122 is just way too big for the 3800... the good news is you should be able to bolt a TVS1900 directly in place of that blower. While the 1900 is also too big, it's a big step up from anything 5th gen.

I am running a 3.2 with 20* timing on my gen V right now ;) 0KR with 92 octane pump gas

More useable HP is far better than peak so that makes me think the car would better with the 3.3 and more timing. Id take a car with more HP under peak than one that makes big peak HP.

What injectors still think you CAN hit 350 whp on a gen5 and no IC also what cam are you on?

That M122 could be spun much slower and move more air than the Gen5 or your dang TVS 1320. More air reguardless of speed is what matters go ask the turbo guys......

The M122 suffers from the same thermal deficiencies as the m90 and m112. The blower will still make an assload of heat at 12psi even if it's spinning a lot slower. I'll put the TVS up against an M112 or M90 powered 3800 with equal mods. The "turbo guys" play with a whole different set of rules.

I'm on an XP cam with stock injectors, but I will be getting bigger ones with the swap. I have taken the GenV as far as it will go without an intercooler.

XP cam and STOCK injectors !!!!! with a Gen5 and you wonder whats holding the HP numbers down it sure in the hell isnt the Gen5 !!!

Turbo guys do not play with a different set of rules lol its the same for every engine more air in more air out makes more HP Period!

Bull twinkies. You took it no where. You aren't moving enough air through the stock heads and cylinders. Keeping that same pulley and lowering the boost pressure in the LIM, you could get more power from it.

OH4...yeah when he makes the drive out from Potatoville. He's originally a Bonne guy from my understanding.

You don't have methanol...or have converted to E85...what cam setup? Ported heads? higher compression?

I highly doubt your maxing out a GenV M90.

Lies.

I have taken the GenV as far as it will go on my setup. Obviously ported heads, higher compression, e85 (which isn't available in my state), meth, nitrous, 402 stroker..etc.. will make more power.

You guys are so damn difficult.
