JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Too bad the cog setup isn't really worthwhile at that power level.

And the fact the guy from Kansas that first came out with it is an egotistical assbag.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

were not talking power were talking sound in which case a 3800 is kind of a lost cause so drown it in cog whine is my point. LOL.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Alright fellers, just gonna spend a bit on cleaning up the car before saving for a mild trans build next spring. So: gonna buy stock replacement headlights of rockauto.
Going with these off brand replacements http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1377589&cc=1317113
They the 30$ option ones, then sticking with my already stock clear corners. For tail lights, I'm torn between mint stock ones I'm possibly getting for 140$ to retain the stock look, possibly doing a mild tint. Or going with those red spyder smoked LEDs for 200$+http://www.amazon.com/Spyder-Auto-ALT-YD-PGP97-LED-RS-Pontiac-Grand/dp/B005R4LRV0....
Don't want to be TOO flashy. So I'm torn between the taillight replacement. Inputs?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Red Led tails > mild stock ones

Makes it look more updated and still keep that clean factory look without screaming eBay tai lights.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Also, if your not going to buy retros, buy black crystal headlights. Clean and subtle but look better then stock.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

LED tail lights. No question.

Look way better than stock. And I would still put a very mild-light tint on them, like I did with mine.

Also, with your blue Daytona, I think a set of stock, black, headlight housings would look great.

Here's a blue Daytona with led tails

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

My friend has those same ones dan, on a red gtp. His are the smoked ones and he threw 2 coats of vht and clear on them. Looks really good, and it's still not dark lol. I dont think I'll want any chrome in mine tho....

I didn't want chrome on mine at all either, but I got them as a gift.

With some tint, they look great now though.

I say go with the Red LED tailights that look virtually stock with a light tint.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Me wanted no chrome either but hey I got a hell of a deal at the time and just had them tinted instead.

I agree, you can't tell mine are chrome unless you really look up close.

Nowadays I like the look of red led tails more then anything else.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Ya, darryl just sold his on FB for 140$, then mentioned clean/mint stock ones for the same price. So that caught my attention for the same price. But after being like a 60$ difference, depending on shipping, I might just go with red smoked spyder LED's...

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Dan, my friend has those and I'll buy them super cheap off him after we get his headlights wired. He has the same projectors as you but I'm a wiring noob. Gonna try at it today.

For those tails, I see the same style on amazon but more expensive. Any differences between eBay ones and amazon?
