JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Ya I see the difference the problem is is that my stock housings are worn with scratches and oxidation. Even after using a lense restore kit they're not 100% clear so I'd have to buy new lenses...

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Seriously.

Just buy 4300k-6000k HIDs with the headlights you have now. You'll be just fine. It's not that big of a dilemma.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Which LED set is this? The same one Jdrach linked?
I'm in the market for some LED tails and love the look of those/the ones on the blue Daytona that Icemann posted.
Sorry for threadjacking! Car looks mint Jdrach

LED tail lights. No question.

Look way better than stock. And I would still put a very mild-light tint on them, like I did with mine.

Also, with your blue Daytona, I think a set of stock, black, headlight housings would look great.

Never looked into it so idk if you just buy the bulbs and they fit right in or if you need an HID conversion kit..

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Smoked red ones look more like stock ones. Just a taaaaad more red and darker. But throw a coat of vht on it and it'll be great. The chrome smoked look okay. But I'm not a fan of chrome

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

I got a kit from vvme.com and its been fine for the past year and a half Iceman runs a vvme kit too. They have basically no customer service tho.

I watch a video on the one ZZP sells. For 70$ plug in play, that sounds heavenly lol

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

I run 2 VVME kits as well. Work great.

No you can't just buy bulbs, you need the ballast as well. $40 off eBay and your done.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Josh got me to go with vvme. Just for headlights tho. 4300k to keep stock color look. Well. As close as possible

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- XP'd

Only thing i can say it try to mount them where they wont get wet at all. I shorted one of mine out last winter from salt spray from the roads.

Mmmmm toasty.
