JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Oh you don't say. I was originally just going to buy it from PFYC. That and 3800perf were the only sites I knew that had them. Either way, this was a good deal for practically new. Can't wait to put it on. Although I know under neath the original spoiler is going to be terrible. I hope it all will buff out, if not, the rest of this gen 2 will cover the bad spots.

I'm glad I don't have the strobes. I want to this to be a daily driver, not some fancy ugly official pace car that's flamboyant on the streets lol

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

But yeah even at $150 its a good deal.
I took my spoiler off yesterday and the trunk lid is ruined under it the dirt ate the paint in a few spots :(

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I'm doomed lol. On the side of the decklid thats right under the spoiler, I can see a spot thats knicked all the way to the primer.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

And mine see alot of rain in particular. I can see the dirt buildup along the edge of the spoiler where all the water tends to sit.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

ill keep note of that and will get some, thank you. Can't wait to get pics up and see how it looks. The front ends lacking, but I'm not going to shell out nearly a grand for a new hood.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

the cost of shipping and getting it properly painted tho. Not in my budget and not a huge concern. I still need my cam parts lol

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Hey guys, question, How do i tell what # my daytona is? is just a certain VIN range? or is there a SE stamp somewhere that says what # mine is? i have a 2000 daytona.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Most of the white stuff is from the paper towels and and old white rag I used to try n dry the deck lid

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Worse than my silver car. I should have taken pics of the black car it just had a little bit of bubbling by the holes.

Sent from my mobile office.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I would trace the spoiler with a wax pencil then mask a line inside that line and por or at least zinc prime and a base coat/clear. Something to cover it up.
