Scotts been missing that washer cap since before the trans install.

I usually had one laying around, but didn't at that time.

Re: J57ltr's 05' GTP base model

Ok so after install of the trans cooler as a stand alone I have noticed that my engine temp has dropped by 10* and my trans temp gets to about 177* by the time I get home. So that's almost a 30* drop. I need to reposition things but I'll mess with it after my trip.

I was wondering around the eBay the other night and decided to order a pair of uncut PK3 keys as I only have one. Actually forgot I ordered them. So took them to Home Depot and convinced the guy to cut them for me and went out and within 5 minutes all the keys were programmed. Cost $12 for the keys ans $4 to have them cut. I'm sure they can be had cheaper, but sure beats $75 at most places.

Re: J57ltr's 05' GTP base model

Thanks guys, I love TIG welding I did it for about 5 years full time when we couldn't get our vendors to produce a decent frame. I am actually making a filling contraption out of scrap we had laying around. I'll post a pic of it later.

an this trans cooler is doing pretty good, but I notice that the temp doesn't climb as fast, but once up to temp it doesn't come down. I got to 190* and even with the fan running (AC on) the temp didn't drop. I need to re-position it so that it is closer to the condenser. The coolant temps are still about 10-15* cooler, hovering in the 195 range and with the AC on about 188*. Before it was right at 200 with the AC on and would fluctuate between 221 and 210 in traffic,

Re: J57ltr's 05' GTP base model

So parts are coming in headers are in the box. Going to do some modifications to them first. Add a bung, move another, modify the drop. Then I'll install them. Still need a convertor that wI'll work.

Went to the Junkyard and pulled a set of brakes from an 07' Impala. Got my them ready and installed them today. This is an easy bolt on and payed $160 for everything including a new PCM holder off some car I don't remember and a pair of previously mentioned transmission coolers. The set looked like it had only recently been installed the pads were full depth so even reused those and just had the rotos turned.

when we finished I got a low fluid level on the DIC and the brake light on the dash. I put the wheels back on and backed out of the shop and went for a drive just testing them it was raining. When I got to a clear area I got to 40 and mashed the brakes the ABS kicked in and the lights out. Booba mentioned the level sender may be stuck and that probably dislodged it.

Brakes on.

Redneck vacuum bleeder.

Installed

That redneck bleeder sure beats hell out of using an assistant. BTW yes those weld pics are textbook, nice bead man.
