Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Intake gaskets

the dealership, or you can get them from zzp, replace the valve cover gaskets too while you're in there

Personally, on a stock vehicle, or mildly modified, the plastic ones are fine. The metal ones are good if you are pushing high boost. But even ZZP recommends the plastic ones for stock applications.

the metal dont break down and leak as easily, how can you even justify using the plastic ones anymore?

My car aint even supercharged and mine are leaking. :th_scratchhead:

I've had a lot of experience with the LIM gaskets. Before the metal were available I found that in as little as 20K miles the plastic ones would warp and begin to deform. That was on a stock motor running a 180 thermostat.

Metal has never been found to deform or cause issues. I've pulled them with up to 60K miles on them. Each time they come out looking the same as they went in w/o any symptoms or signs of leaking.

My opinion is anyone that tells you to use the plastic framed ones is doing you a great disservice. Spend the money once and do the job once with the aluminum gaskets.

The metal gaskets don't cost anymore than the plastic though the dealer. IMO, don't be a cheap ass, get the metal and get an overall better gasket that will outlast the original plastic hands down, stock or not.

As far as ZZPs "advice", its been proven they give bad advice from them so **** them. Common sense is the key here. Why put something on your motor that'll last a few years when you can put something on that will last damn near the life of the motor? A no brainer to me. Especially for a few bucks.

Dealership would be the place to go, 04 GP GTP should work. I had a PN handy but I cannot find it at the moment. If i do, i'll post it up....

I got these numbers from a different thread, but I believe the metal LIM gaskets are PN: 89017825

Can anyone confirm this?
These numbers were taken from the LIM video thread
