• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I lost :(

205/230 was stock for the SS/SC 'Balt I think...but the Turbo is 260 across the board.

It is when you go to stage 1, 2, and 3 on the SS/SC things get interesting...I'd honestly like to see a stage 2 or 3 cobalt vs. a new turbo balt in the 1/4. I think it would be a good match up...and for the money...you can had a stage 3+ SS/SC for the money of a turbo one stock...but if the turbo one is modded...look out...it is a 12 second bolt-ons car.

What about saturn Ion redlines?? Do they have almost the same setup as the saturn skys and solstices??

No...since Saturn was X'ed and the Ion Redline didn't hardly sell...it was never a turbo ecotec setup.

It was just a LSJ from a Supercharged Cobalt SS

Block Yes...they are based on the 420A...which was a old school Lotus block from the 70's Mitsubishi revisited and put in the RS and GS Eclipse. But Mopar took the 2.4 liter block from the Eclipse Spyder SOHC and put a high performance DOHC head on it. Then put a snail on it. They also added oil squirters in the block to help lubricate the rods and crank better...so basically...they HARDLY have the same motor as the 95-99 2nd Generation Eclipse Spyder GS (not GS-T as that was the 4G63 Turbo model)

those neon's have the same motors as the eclipse right?

That's a negative.. The eclipse have a 4G63 (same engine as the EVO) while the SRT4 has a A855. A855 is a 2.4L while the 4G63 is only a 2.0L. The only thing they share in common is the crappy little Mitsu TD04 turbocharger

haha beat me to it. I was under the impression he was referring to the 4G

Nanananana Vanilla face...I know quite a bit about DSM's since one of my best friends has a BAD turbo one...

no when they did the s/c to turbo on the ss cobalt there was a year and im pretty sure it was 08 or 07 that they did not come with turbo or s/c it was pretty much a ground effects kit and its a fact do some research

Much like the Monte Carlo and Impala, they offered two SS packages. The standard SS which was mostly looks and came with a 2.4L n/a. Offered in 2-door or 4-door. Then there was the SS Supercharged which came with the supercharged 2.0 ecotec, also only came stick and 2-door.

As far as the turbo SS. Took place in 08 (if I recall) they dumped the n/a SS and just called the 2.4 Cobalt a "sport" or some crap. Threw the Soltice/Sky LNF turbo 2.0 ecotec in it and called it a day. So from 08 on, they ALL were forced induction

Nasty little motors.... For about a week or so before they blow. Helped a friend build a TSi. Crower cams, springs & retainers, 16g, giant front mount, etc... Fun little build :)
