Maybe on a boosted car...we have been over this in another thread. There is only so much you can do with a N/A car. Just spray it and tune for the spray...that'll make it a whole nother beast.

earlier someone said somethin about srt4 in my opinion im not impressed with them from the factory for the price id buy a gtp all day and can go dollar for dollar and have a faster car. they can be made fast not trying to piss anyone off just saying there still a neon u can polish a turd and its still **** ;)
 
Yeah, I don't like the srt-4 at all.
No matter what you do to it, it's still a ****ing neon. And the make HORRIBLE dd's

i'll call him out lol. there are exceptions to this rule. i'll find examples later, i'm way too tired right now. relatively the same mods, yeah, more motor's gonna win. late 70's V8's after the government changed the emissions standards are gonna get smoked by today's 4-cylinders. juss sayin haha

That was one of the dumbest things I have ever read on here.
 


Yea thats true but i see alot of neons on you tube beatin alot of high powered cars Newer model GTOS Trans ams an other cars get beat by those things. Its a couple ppl near me that have those srt neons an they quick as hell. They not stock but still can easlily hold therye on against alot of other cars. My friend has a GTX an he told me about this time where he raced a golf GTI an it smoked him(if im not mistakin some golf are 4cyclinder turboed). But then again i never sat in or drove a heavily modded grand prix so i wouldn know how fast these gps that ppl have on here can go. But i seen on you tube an c ppl around here that says therye neon srts run low to mid 12''s in the 1/4. Rarely here of gps runnin those kind of numbers.
 
Neon = dodge = P.O.S Im biased i admit Ive never had a good dodge experiance from trucks to neons to sedans

And if i had to choose between a srt4 and my gtp Ill take my gtp any day

And you can make anything fast srt4's can be wicked fast but at the end of the day your still driving a sh!tbox neon
 
i dont give a **** what u say blue gtp91 if u take a v8 and a 4 banger block to block it can be an srt4 block and a 70's 454 ur tellin me the srt motor will be faster... no so that statement wasnt the dumbest thing uve ever heard since i know u were in gtprydas old post and that was some dumb stuff
 


Apparently you care enough to reply. And...No...I said that was ONE of the dumbest things I've heard. You said...there is no replacement for displacement...that is wrong. BOOST is the replacement for displacement...how do you think little 4 cylinder cars stomp on cars with 6, 8, 10, or even 12 cylinders? Some even boosted...hell there are Evo's and Supra's...RX7's with ONE.THREEEEEE liters of displacement that roast V8 cars...so your arguement is invalid.
 
I think he's saying turbo a V8 and turbo a 4 cylinder and the V8 SHOULD be faster considering if they are both performance cars, but dont get me wrong an STI is one of my favorite cars and its 4 cylinder that spanks V8's I just didnt get one because I didnt want to haft to pay for the AWD if it went out and they dont have good warranty's.
 
You weren't paying for the AWD...about 99.9% of Subaru's have AWD standard...you were paying for the expensive bulletproof transmission, STi badging, and the EXPENSIVE AZZ insurance...since it is one of the most expensive cars to insure.
 
Any car can be made fast.

I'd like to thank Technology & Regulations for that. Allowing/forcing cars to advance with the times. It's great that smaller motors can be fast & larger motors more efficient.
