GTP Build. Sub 13 Second 300whp goals!

Another thing to consider is do you want all the power right away or throughout the higher end for better end traps. I think VS would be best for DD in a more urban area and if you want more fun while commuting. That's why I chose it. I'm never going to be driving faster than 100 besides for at the track, which I never go to. Hence choosing the VS. I think it all depends on your conditions and wants.
 


Lol guys uhh xp is total ass to drive everyday, its just too aggresive for my standards as a daily. The lope at a stop light gets annoying,my timing chain is shot (should have gotten the double roller) i get 14 mpg on average. Why would you want that type of mpg in a daily is beyond me. My ls2 gets better mpg. If i did it all over again i would have definitly went a different route.

I saw about 15~ in town, got high 20's on the highway.

3.2", LS1 TB, XP, LS6's, stock chain/dampner, Pacesetters', P&P'd GenIII, Reptile tune...I put about 40-50k on it. Had the idle set at 850. Poly mounts. GOt used to it, not that bad IMO.
 
Been running VS cam for 5 years. I like it, put 80,000 miles on it. I'm running pretty close to 300 whp. I get 20-21 mpg daily driving. Won't break 13 second but not breaking the tranny with killer launches.

IDK if its been said... but E85 can be considered in this case for power/times you want with different mods. Plus, if its easy to get, its cheap HP... ran sub 13s with stock cam/springs...
 


dsmuts just wondering have you gotten your car dyno'd? If yes how much power did you make? cause i'm basically gonna be doing the exact same mods as you have in your sig give or take a few things.
 
So i was talking to my tuner about making an intake for the gtp, and he highly suggested against it due to tuning the fuel trims, So my new question is has anyone that made their intake have any issues tuning the car afterwards?? Thanks for the advise and input
