So in the process of doing my header job once I got everything all bolted up my car is displaying some strong vibrations. Only at stop lights when drive is engaged, so when I throw her into neutral the vibrations go down considerably and under load they are gone.
I did notice that my dog bone mounts were pretty thrashed from rotating them, my subframe bushings appear to be ok but im less then qualified to say so either way.
My question or rather thought I want to get straightened out in my head is the cause so I can further my knowledge of these cars and hopefully one day be able to help others so here it is....
I lowered my ride about a few months ago with ZZPs strut spring combo on AGXs, Front and Rear Sway bars, and ZZP trailing arms. Never did get around to putting in the spacers I got from Vinnie as my car post suspension job had zero vibrations. My question is did the header job trigger this new vibration while at stop lights? Or did the dogbone mounts getting aggravated cause this? Or could my motor and trans mounts have gone out when I lowered my sub frame to do the header job? Im planning on picking up some poly dog bone mounts next week so that will be done and hopefully in the next day or so ill throw in the spacers. Maybe doing that will answer my question but its gonna take me a day or two to research the spacer job before i tackle it. Any insight would be great cause I love furthering my knowledge on this platform. But if I should go through and replace all my major motor mounts might as well make one big order right?
