gas mileage

Update: ran seafoam thru gas tank and vac lines, then changed oil, plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter and now gettin 24.5 around city. Did the tune up before I left for a concert in Detroit area Saturday and got 33.9 on highway. Got 390 miles out of that tank and was stuck in a dead stop traffic jam in Detroit for an hour.

Driving 8 miles everyday to school (with 4 stop signs and 3 turns in between home and school) I've been averaging 21MPG driving the speed limit with cruise on. Haven't ran the tank full-empty yet, but, assuming the "fuel used" number is correct my numbers using the odometer and paper method is almost dead on to the number my DIC shows me. I've only had it on the interstate twice since owning it, but the first time I was getting 33MPG and the second was also around 32-33.

2002 GP GTP - 159,000miles - No mods.

I can get about 16-17 in the city. On the highway cruising at about 75-80, I see about 25-27. Best combined I did during a work week was 19.8 and that was mostly because I had avoided most of the traffic.

Seems to be about the same mileage I got out of my 2004 WRX wagon. I'm happy being how heavy the car is and the mileage.

*EDIT* On my last road trip to Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. (Stayed at Watercolor. BEAUTIFUL!) 637mi - myself and fiance in car plus two carry bags - DIC showed 25.1mpg. Cruise was set at 78-80 most of the trip both ways.

Combined MPG for the past few weeks of 60-40 Highway and Edison traffic

21.6 MPG

I guess that K&N drop in airfilter helped big time, it used to be 18.8 combined from my commute to work. I feel dumb buying the airfilter because...I think I'm just going to make a CAI eventually.

I'm seeing 16-18 MPG with E85. 21-22 with 93 octane.
I thought my gas mileage was poor, now I don't feel so bad.

I usually average around 16.5 mpg and 220 out of a tank. But I deal with san diego traffic, which isn't as bad as L.A. Traffic but the people are even stupider. I've seen up to 33 mpg on the highway when running it as soft as possible.

2001 GTP, purchsed a couple weeks ago.

17-18 mpg but the car was new to me and I had a heavy foot for a while ;)

Reset the DIC before a 2 hr highway drive and was pleasantly surprised to get 30 mpg.

Since then 21-22, mostly in town. (Small town, not city)

So far I'm pretty pleased :)
I'm getting near the end of a full tank of fuel so I'll be doing the calculations the old fashioned way to see just how accurate the DIC is.

Monday I'll be doing an oil change, plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, plus investigating a check engine light. Can this get better? I can hope!

Gotta love those Alberta fuel prices eh?

My mileage might be better but it's still costing you less per Km

I have a 01 gtp I generally get 22-23 mpg. However I do have a heavy foot. but that is a mix of alot of highway and a bit of city tho. I also usually get around 350-400 miles to a full tank
