gas mileage

I drive a "fleet" GT with no supercharger and get about 320 miles on a tank before I look for a gas station. Usually the DIC and the fuel gauge show I could go another 30-50 miles. So 26-30 mpg. Not bad considering I have added a of weight to the car in gear in the trunk, heavier wheels and suspension upgrades. Great car, wish they were still made, would buy two more. Looking for a GXP local to me now.

Ok I reset my miles and when it got to 1 gallon used I looked to see how many miles I went and compared it to the mpg on the dic,the dic says 24.5 or so and the other way I did it is almost 30 and that's feathering the gas pedal

My DIC is wrong but only when I commute to work, on highway trips its usually pretty spot on, it says I'm pulling 28 but when I add it in fuel log its been a solid 26 the past month.

They are pretty good on gas in my opinion, even if you get on it every known again I still get around 24

From the Pacific Northwest. Lots of hills and trees and twisted roads. DIC is still mostly accurate for mileage unless you hit the right pedal hard a lot. The first month I owned this car it had the hard rubber tires on it and STOP signs meant spin tires on pavement, and the GT meant gets tickets. New stickier tires helped a lot. Then fuel economy went up to mid to high 20's.

Hmm, well, the best I ever got out of my GTP was on a trip to Casper, 230ish miles in just under half a tank, I think the wind was loving me hard that day considering the trip usually pegs me in at under a 1/4 tank

Averaging 25.5 lately. I live downtown. I get on the highway after about ten blocks of stop and go, lay into the sucker all the way through second on the onramp, and then cruise at 60 the rest of the way wherever I'm going.

I've been averaging about 28 the past day or two hammering on it all the time. Thanks for the tune Dan :) I got 35 mpg on the way back from Michigan.

Maybe I should talk to Dan about a tune.......I pulled 28 mpg on my way back and 29 on the way there and thats with decent amout of beating on the car and a lot of in town around royal oak.

I just completed a 1400 mile round trip to NC and back to FL in 2 days and averaged 30mpg+, and I had 1200 lbs payload on the way up to NC, did not hurt highway millage at all.

I'm getting 19 mpg currently which is the highest I've ever had, that's 95% city driving. Pretty cool how even though I still don't do a whole lot of driving I can still get better mpg than the sticker says. Kinda goes to show that I'm easy on my car and drive pretty moderate. I drive slower than most people on the roads here in michigan. I always do the speed limit to about 5 over. And I still get passed at 5 over all the time. And not slower as in under the speed limit, slower like not getting much past 2500 rpm's in the city, and letting off the gas way in advance before red lights.

But when someone pisses me off, then I let all the N/A greatness loose lol. People don't like when I drive like that, they always pass me and beat me to all the red lights, I'm like yeah you're smart. That's one thing that triggers me to floor it. I take off from lights at a normal moderate pace, and people are acting like it's a race and I just get mad and floor it. I'm just glad the 3800 is really peppy in first gear, since all I do is city anyway. The intake really screams too lol
