gas mileage

Wow. Middle of winter, even doing cold startups in the negatives, warming it up for 10 minutes in the morning, yet getting better mpg than last winter. I'm getting 15 mpg now. Last winter I never warmed it up for more than a minute, but it hardly reached operating temp and got 13.8 mpg's. Only reason is because my engine actually reaches operating temp now, I'm driving longer distances with my work being 20 mins away instead of 10 like my last, plus I'm driving a bit more too. Also last year when it hardly reached operating temp I always got a ton of moisture in the engine from condensation, I'm not getting much of that this winter.

With recent fuel changes in IA, I have heard of up to a 10% decrease in MPG when using e-10 87 verses straight 87. Several Casey's stores there only have 87 Ethanol blend or 87 reg, but the straight is $0.30 or so higher.

last fill up was 15 mpg. i use sunoco 93 which is 10% ethanol. that, plus single digit temperatures and a 6 minute drive to work don't help matters much.

Using 20 mile runs on the highway with cruise and average passing I've gone from 30.5 to 31.8-32 after adding the K&N... Average 25 with me having a lot of highway driving.

You can look that up in your area most of the time. Some stations sell it that way, but cost could either be cheaper or more money.

I feel that on the open road it's maybe 1 mpg if that different for me, on 93 E10~ish. Only ran 91 E0 once coming back from wisconsin and didn't notice a different.

Maybe it only matters cause we are NA? If I could get 29 cause I drive a lot of highway I would love it. I'm getting like 24 hand calculated. And I baby it
Just looked it up. None around me anyway lol

I'll pull 28 29 highway, right now im getting good mpg cuz backroads at 55 to 60mph, bad because the hills and the tc always locking and unlocking

That last fillup was solid 255 highway miles with some backroads at 55. The others are my city driving from where I used to live from work and back

I just hold it in 3rd when under 60 mph. I get the same mpgs if not better running a higher rpm at those speeds (45-60) because of 4th lagging it down. Plus I kinda tuned it that way, run higher timing with low loads.
