This is to show how to install a FMHE on your car. This is a stage 4 from ZZP. They said it will not fit if you still run a/c and have the ac condenser installed. I'm about to show you how to make it work.

Here are some comparison pics of the stage 2 and my new stage 4.

First take the front bumper COVER and BUMPER off (bumper has 6 bolts)-

Next remove these tabs as it won't go into place with these here. There is one on both passanger and drivers sides-

Grind/cutt them off with an angle grinder but be sure not to slip. If you do you will be riding around without a/c untill you get a new a/c condenser(Not sure why the SAFTY glasses are on my head?)-

They should look like this when your done. Both passenger and drivers side-

Next you'll have to make the brackets for the FMHE-

These will slide into the front radiator support chanell and will look like this-

Next comes the top mounts- make them look like this-

Next it should look like this when mounted-

Next notch the lower air dam (corners so it will clear the hoses ect.) with a thick razor blade or dremel

Put the bumper back on and should look similar to this-

Put the bumper cover back on.And you're done!!

Oh no problem, I wish i could have been more detailed with measurements ect. but I was pressed on time. I haven't been around in a while so i figured i better come back with something good so no one bans me LOL:p

those brackets look like they could have been home made, flat stock a drill and a vise and a hammer to make the bends, see all the dings on the sides...

if you look at the next to last pic it looks like there would be enough room to install a 16" fan set up as a pusher, as now the stock fans are pulling air through 3 radiators.

they sure are, and boy am i also upset a bit lol i was going to copy this set up.

it used a vw radiator ( or similar) and mounted it up in front of the cars radiator. nice and high and right in the path of the grill.

I know this is way old but any one have pics or as aother write up on installing the vw rad. While still maintaining ac condenser? Been looking cant find anything.

Im gonna go wit the vw radiator. Any pics or how did you reduce the 1 3/16 hose coming out.the rad. to 3/8s for the ic. I cant find any reducer or adaptor?

I remember there was a molded heater hose and then a reducer. It's been 7 years since I installed it. McMaster Carr website is down I will look later.
