Fluid leak

6922461932

Lower rad hose to the timing cover usually has corrosion built up and may leak there.
One of the SC idler pedestal bolts goes into the water jacket and can leak (lowest one, aka the one you can not see)

There are a couple timing cover bolts (all except the crank sensor that go into the water jacket.
And...lastly ..the timing cover gasket may be leaking. It's uncommon though.

i think thats where that arrow points in the picture that I posted, Doesnt it? I dont know but i have the lower rad hose off and it has a crease from the clamp thats on it inside the hose.
And if it is the lower SC idler pedestal bolts what should i do? take out and put blue lock tight on??? I think thats the area it is coming from. Someone please help me out, my car is torn down and im runnin out of warm temps and light. hahah

yes on some sealant on the bolt that goes into the water jacket. No there's no gasket for that idler stand. Sounds like you will already have this fixed before you read this.

I called it quits last night, I was in the need of some mood food hahah
I am doin it right now. I am just hopin everything holds well.
How long should I let it cure for before pressurizing it?

i didnt let anything cure when i did my water pump bolts, clean the threads, brush the sealant on, put bolt in, drive car lol, maybe it sat for 15 minutes before i started it back up, no leaks.

It looks like the bolts arent the problem.
You guys could see my pictures right? Well right above where that pedastule mounts and the coolant hose comes up, is that cover all the timing chain cover? If so it must be cracked or something? Anyone have a picture of the timing belt cover

did your cover leak around that area before? I am just debating on doing this or just putting it all together and taking it to get it done.

well i hope its that and not a head gasket or something, but i dont think it is. I am putting it together right now and taking it into the shop.

I dont know, I decided to take it to the dealership I bought it from, hopefully it ends up being cheaper.
Ya the shop wanted $768 for parts and labor. I looked up parts and the gasket was maybe 40 bucks.
