Dumb Kids

One day I was driving with the girlfriend and my 8month old child in the carseat in the back of my car. Of course some kid in a Passat with rims and something wrong with his exhaust comes flying up next to me and of course this is like the first race that someone else was initiating. I look over at him and we make eye contact. I knew he wanted to race but the car seat is plain as day in the backseat. I shook my head to tell him no and he hammers on it and pulls away. I laughed and my girlfriend said what an idiot, you would of whooped him anyway. Just thought I would share that. I am bored at home sorry for such a boring story.

Well not gonna lie your windows look tinted by your siggy. Did you think maybe they didnt see the kid in the back? Cause i know if someone wants a go at me I dont check out their car to see whos in it im more worried about the light.

My windows are not tinted (i wish they were though) and he came up from behind me, I would imagine he would be able to see the car seat as he was coming up beside me.

I'm glad you did the right thing there, no race is worth it with your kid in the car. I've had this happen to me before, only to have this prick on our local forum, make a thread just to ask why I was afraid to race his RX8. When I told him my kid was with me, he ignored it, and went on about how I wasn't the first Cobra owner to duck him.....:th_nervous:

People like that really, REALLY piss me off. My kid (or anybody's kid FTM) is WAY more important then my pride, a stupid race, or any car.

It sucks I know how that feels I've been there lol. Now that the kids are a lil older,my 4 and 11 year old girls tell me "get him dad." Or i'll look at them and get "go for it dad!" Lol I love my kids.:)

The lil one's always in my tools and handing me stuff whenever I work on the gtp lol.

I'd drive my car off a cliff long before I'd endanger anyone with it. People like that infuriate me. Modded car though I may drive, it doesn't give me the right to act like a jackass and not care about other peoples' safety.

I effectively eliminate the problem of anyone wanting to race me by looking strait ahead at a stop sign and pretending nobody is there. I figure it isnt worth the risk of getting a ticket or even killing somebody elso or myself. Other drivers out on the road dont always pay attention and people generally make mistakes. The last thing i want is to be speeding and plow into the side of someone an wreck the rest of my life. When one person makes a mistake a disaster can for the most part be avoided but with 2 mistakes theres going to be a problem. Good descision that u dont go for the race with ur girl and the kid. :th_thumbsup-wink:
