• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Doesn't make any sense...wtf?!

Gen lll 3.25 pulley 5 to 7 degrees kr. Gen V swap, northstar throttle body, 1.8 yella terra rockers, headers, ngk 55ix, 180 tstat, and exhaust 12 degrees kr at wot. Shouldn't i see less kr?

With the same pulley and no change in mods? Sure...it'll double your KR since the GenV is worlds more efficient than the GenIII, you need a 3.4"...otherwise.

I'm lost.

You makea noa sensea.

Needs more un-confusion

gen V is more efficient. you should pulley up a size or run an intercooler or cam.
if you pulley up to a 3.4 on that gen V thatll almost be like running a 3.25 on your gen III...i think.
needs more flow to run that small of a pulley on a gen V.

I switched to a 3.5 pulley today but i'm still seeing about 4 to 6 degrees of kr. If the gen v is more efficient, why am i still seeing kr? I had about 4 to 6 degrees of kr before i did the gen v swap on the 3.5 pulley. I'm thinking mayb i need to go a heat range colder on plugs, delete the cat, or my tune may not be right. The tune is from Intense-Racing

Let me do a quick break down.

Gen 3 blower with a 3.4 pulley is like a 3.6 on a Gen V.
Gen 3 blower with a 3.2 pulley is like a 3.4 on a Gen V.

Understand now???

Its a better blower. A smaller pulley size drop does what a larger pulley size drop would do on the Gen 3.

If the gen v is more efficient, why am i still seeing kr?
Efficient, meaning that you can use a larger pulley to achieve the same result as smaller pulley on a GenIII. You have sufficient mods for a GenV on a 3.5. So your tune needs some work.

I'm betting it's those iridium plugs. Swap some Autolite 104's in there and watch most of your KR magically disappear.

edit.. Unless your headers are hitting something causing false KR

yeah and how are you tuning this?? are you getting canned tunes set up for these mods or are you dyno tuning or are you street tuning?

It's a tune from intense-racing and i told them i had a gen v swap, northstar tb, 1.8 rockers, headers, 180 tstat, colder plugs (i don't know exactly what heat range ngk 55ix's are tho?) Could a clogged cat be causing some of it cuz ya can hear the insides coming apart rattling raspy sound. It's just really erratic kr no consistency

hmm that could be your problem. when your that in depth with mods a custom tune is pretty much a necessity for 0* kr.
