• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

DHP PCM's

The 1.0 are not locked! I know this first hand as I had customized my DHP. The dhp advances timing by about 1 to 2*. So watch your KR! When I first installed mine straight from DHP I was getting ridiculous amounts of knock. I had to scale back my timing to stock and also the DHPs are known to run rich FYI. Still, in my opinion the best off the shelf PCM.

From a tuning perspective (if you're really actively tuning), it's usually common practice to take the tranny section from the DHP 1.5 that you get when you register your PT and keep the rest stock and start from there. Canned tune-wise, the DHPs are usually the most stable ones for the basic mod list. However, I started with an Intense tune when I just had a 3.4, intake, 180* t-stat and U-bend removal (and I didn't even blow the engine after 5 years! :th_winking:), so I can't really compare the two from experience.

Oh, I'm sure I was knocking. I didn't have a scanner until I got my PT and once I had my PT I immediately overwrote the Intense tune with the 1.5. Probably the only thing that saved me is that I didn't do much all-out racing. Just on-ramp stuff to get up to freeway speeds.
