• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Danielle's 99 GT :)

Looks better with the new hangers. Yeah a hose clamp around the rubber hanger is what you want. Loop it over the 2 posts and keep tightening until you get the desired look. If I remember correctly you need a 3" clamp.

Great job Danielle! (on the TB etc.) The screen is a bit bent up, however the middle part is the area that is important. It looks like your stovepipe is the original. Have you ever had the UIM swapped? Looks like a little moisture around the tube, but tough to tell if it's from TB and the little coolant that came out of there.

Thank you Bill! Thanks for giving me the confidence that I can do things on my own.
When I first got the car we had the lim gasket done, went to pick car up and they said they went ahead and did the upper gasket as well while it was apart. Is that what you mean or the while black housing part? I'm assuming it was done, the guys there are pretty good. That was done about 23k ago. I didn't replace the tb gasket cuz it looked ok and I didn't think about getting one before I tore it apart. I did notice at the bottom around the 3 holes it looked kinda icky but it cleaned up decent. It's still dry under there so I assume its not leaking. If I need to get a new one, that's doable since I know how to take it apart now.

Oh, and I had stuff over crossover and trans to protect from coolant spill. But the best I could tell, nothing came out. Idk if that's good or bad?

Search on "Easy" and my name. Take a look at the L36 UIM failure thread. It looks like your UIM itself was not swapped and around the EGR tube is a little more moist than the rest of the UIM that we can see. It's not necessarily an issue. But for about $100 you can have a new one plus the injector o-rings and not need to worry. However it may not be an issue.

Just read up on it..so you are aware of what can happen. That way when it happens...you'll be in the know and ready for it.

I read your thread....

So, its easily just a mater of removing bolts, removing black plastic piece, changing gasket, something with the stove pipe things? And putting said black plastic back on.

Why does that sound to easy? Just a 10mm socket?

It's remove fuel rail
remove black piece
Remove stovepipe
Put new pipe in
Put new black piece on
Put rails back on.

Family of 8mm's and a few 10's.

Okay. Maybe this fall when I don't have anythuf better to do on a weekend ill tackle it.
