Things you want for your car at cheap, heck yes!

I love the red leds, I was thinking maybe a light tint, but I really like the way the red would pop.

I wanna lower so bad, but idk!
It's expensive, and I'm afraid of what else would come along with it.
Thats a long a dark tunnel I don't wanna go down, lol.

I could just lower the front? haha

Haha. Mine will need motor mounts too I think.
And its got a slow oil leak...valve covers, oil pan gasket or god only knows what it might be.

I need to get my priorities straight on this car and stop dreaming :(
 


Get some new tails install those tips and after I get the DNA spring ordered and installed ill let you know how the ride is...you could paint your wheels
 
I was just looking at the DNA's for the heck of it...
Red, blue and green...whats the difference? Drop amounts were the same.

And in all seriousness, I highly doubt I will ever lower it :(
I don't have that kind money to drop on springs/struts.
 
Yeah it all comes down to how much you want to spend and on what lol...by the time I sold my subaru I had way more into it then it was even worth...make a goal then stop when you reach it haha...ssc dna vogtland they are all springs more of less comes down to personal preference

Bahhh... I'm a Jackazz. Sorry got busy and completely slipped my mind. This is an older picture from when I first did the mod, I got green round rubber ones from Lowes and they are still holding solid, but I haven't taken them off either so... But if the picture doesn't give you an idea I can take mine off tonight when I get off work and snap a couple good "close up" ones. I may do that... see if the seals are holding up, may need to replace them and preventative maintenance is always best ;)
 
Haha, its fine! My washers didn't hold up. I'll just try some different ones and see if they last longer. Thanks for the picture tho!
 
I ended up using black hose washers when I replaced my gen 1 with a gen 2. They seem to be holding up just fine. It is ok if the bolt is self locking into the spoiler. There is no need to use anything to have the bolt stay in. The bolts will hold it just fine. Just put the spoiler in the back seat and take it somewhere to get a quote. That's what I did when I had my SD air dam painted.

I do recommend the red LED tails. I am glad I went with them when I was looking for replacements. They are worth the money that I spent on them. I left mine red with no tint.

If you are planning to lower the car, I would recommend the vogtland/GR2 combo. My brother put those on his 03 and the ride is comparable to the GMPP koni setup that I have. We drive our's daily as well.

Roof rails and 04+ seats, you can do without. I bought roof rails long ago and if I had to do it again, I would have saved the money. But they do look good. And no I'm not planning to sell mine :p.

Wheels are always nice. Just as an FYI, as soon as you put new wheels on, you are going to want to lower the car. Happened to me long ago and my brother. You can find some nice used one's on craigslist or in the classifieds.

As far as modding advice. Pick a goal of what you want the car to look like and perform. Do the little things first and save your pennines until you find something that you really must have.
 


I'm gonna give the black washer a try and see.

Most important thing, besides the oil leak is to get new tails because they are awful. So I am being logical in that sense.
Rails and 04+ leather will ONLY happen if I find them dirt cheap at the yard (which is very unlikely).

I don't wanna paint my wheels, I'll leave them alone. In all reality, I have no reason to need new wheels and can't afford such unless something happened to the stockers.
I can't afford lowering atm, and its not logical for me. I like the way cars look when done, but its just not for me.

My budget is very low as I have other bills that are more pressing than goodies for the car.
Most likely, it'll just be little odds and ends thing to give the car some of my personality.
I plan to drive the car "until the wheels fall off".
Sucks, but thats life or so I'm told.

Current things waiting for nicer weather: full out polish/swirl removal/detail with the PC, new reflective purple inlays, paint the SLP spoiler and install, and getting the motor cleaned up and tracking down that oil leak.
 
Ok chica. Got home from work and lowes for more rubber seals and I took off my spoiler to snap some shots of the underside for ya. Now... I can post all of them, but I won't. I got into a mode after doing some waxing to try and keep the paint in the best shape it could be since its cracked all to hell and chipping in a couple places. So what I will do, is link my PhotoBucket folder with all the pics, you can rummage thru them and maybe they will be of some help. Even a couple of the nuts and 1 bolt that just came out, looks to just have a stud screwed in and a nut to hold it snug. Threaded into the spoiler, hopefully it helps.
