Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Carcrobatic's Daily Driven Drift Car

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Now with moar stopping performance

Plans are to do silver and black with clear. Black in the middle inlay where the chrome lugs will contrast well, and black on the sides of the spokes that will hopefully bring out the brakes some. I ordered 8 cans of paint this morning.

They are only 14's so I never really thought of doing something that wild, haha. Then again my style for modding cars tends to be more simple & clean.

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Now with moar stopping performance

Two more weeks and all 4 will be finished and on the car.
Two more weeks I'll be out of school for the summer.
Shortly after that all my oil leaks shall be no more and I will be able to go out for my first drift day!

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Now with moar stopping performance

Video coming soon to show the car off, next video after that should be first drift day footage!

Got two wheels finished with 195/60/14's mounted. 185/60/14's will go on fronts when the clear coat cures on the wheels.
Remember these are 14x6 +10, stocks are 14x5.5 +42 or +45. Fenders have been rolled with a rubber mallet up front, then hardcore steel hammer on rear.

IMO it's game over when lights or sun hits the brake rotors and you can see them through the wheels. Looks so on point.

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project - Drift footage up

- Frame rails

nice runs.

i think danny george finished up his dual caliper rear hub for a slick hydro set up

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project - Drift footage up

Wouldnt it be better to just find a LSD from a 94+???

15+ Year old LSD's have been worn out and don't preform as well as they used to, and are more suited for a grip setup. You can have fun drifting with those LSD's but it's more desirable for a setup that locks the rears as much as possible. I am mainly going to weld it because it's cheap as hell and great practice until I upgrade to a legit 1,000-2,000 1.5 way or 2 way Kaaz diff.

I will have to upgrade to 94+ diff setup though when I have more power as it will be required to handle the extra stress, that is also when I will blow big bucks on a legit diff.

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project - Drift footage up

NEW!
-Hard dog double diagonal (Hardcore hardtop)
-Turn signal intakes
-Wheels mounted

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project - Drift footage up

i think i paid 650 for a 94+ 4.10 torsenII diff with 99 style axles.

4.10 and 6speed makes 1st gear absolutely useless
