Carcrobatic's Daily Driven Drift Car

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Fresh mods&pics on pg1 (4-29)

sub'ed for drifting vids. :th_thumbsup-wink:
Thanks man! I can't wait to get out of school so I can hit up the Wednesday night drifts at Sonoma. The car isn't ready just yet, but it will be pretty soon if I keep getting 30 hour work weeks.

heres my whoopty build

im jealous that you got to start with a clean CA car.

That's right, I remember checking out this thread last year, way cool dude! That is a good thing about CA, but I'm not a fan of these emissions laws. I could easily do a diy turbo kit for under 1000 myself, but the only legal option for boost here is the 4-5k carb legal kits.

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Now with moar stopping performance

I've been a busy bee lately with school/work/girl so I hardly have any time to work on my projects but here's an update finally!

Powerstop 1-click brake kit snagged for just under $300, drilled/slotted rotors + high performance street ceramic pads. Nasty old calipers painted with Duplicolor's Detriot Diesel Green engine enamel paint for a nice cleaned up subtle look.

Pics from iPhone cause lazyness is a thing.

Re: Carcrobatic's Drift Project / Fresh mods&pics on pg1 (4-29)

Brakes work good, fade a lot less than before. Now all I have to do is swap out the fluid for some raceker stuff.

I also picked up some wheels for $200 that came off a 1975 BMW 2002.
They are replicas of a Gotti 2-piece competition wheel made by American Eagle Racing. Specs are 14x6 +10, the stockies are 14x5.5 +45 for reference. I am currently working on refinishing them.

They need a lot of love and are a total b* to clean up, lol. It will be worth it when I go to shows and no one will have any idea what they are.
